If you like Star Wars and haven't read too many of the books, like me, then this story has probably been overlooked. I have found that the author, James Luceno, knows his stuff and has a writing style easy to follow, for even basic SW fans. This story occurs just before The Phantom Menace and is easily more exciting. It shows Palpatine at his manipulative best and Qui-Gon as he should be, a wise and confident Jedi. I've only read a few SW novels, because I don't want to get caught in a long story arc, and if that sounds familiar then add this book to your list.
