2D Metriodvania type of game where you explore levels with areas gatelocked until you gain a new ability to unlock the area. Traditional game, no battle pass, microtransactions or pay-to-advance mechanics.-Story/Plot. You are one of 7 elite guards called Immortals sent to win a war. Prince gets captured and you try to get him back. There are some mysteries and twist and turns throughout the game-Customized Difficulty.Able to choose from Exploration (no map indicators) vs Guided.Difficulty levels include: Rookie, Warrior, Hero, and immortal. You can also customize individual aspects via sliders for enemy damage, enemy health, environmental damage, parry difficulty, dodge window, and Athra (special) depletion rate.-Gameplay:Standard Metriodvania flare. You get standard ability gains like wave dash and double jump as well as some unique ones like the ghost teleport ability (also can be used in combat to chain attacks)There are time puzzles combined with abilities gain to get pass certain areasPlatforming segments require some precision, timing, and use of abilities. For those who find it difficult there is an option in the accessibility settings where you can skip those segments, but know that you will lose out on some collectables and upgrade currencyCore combat focus on combos, parries, and dodging. A lot of variety of button combinations for combos. Parries is very similar to Metroid Dread where enemies glow before they do heavy strike prompting you to parry/counter attack. You can also combine combos with abilities gained as mentioned beforeDoing actions like combo attacks and parries build up a special meter. Special typically result in high damage AOE attacks but different animationsYou can equip amulets to your neckless for perks. Wish you can fast travel to any checkpoint instead of having a fast travel area separate from it. Feels like artificially extending the length of the gameSome checkpoints at gameover screens are not that forgiving. It can bring you a ways back from where you died.I really like the memory shard marker mechanic. It takes screenshots and mark your location for later. No need to memories or write down in a notebook where you need to backtrack to. Wish this is standard for all Metriodvanis games moving forwardOverall very fun 2d exploration platformer

It's not a really easy game, so it may not be as fun for younger kids. There's an action element and a puzzle element. You have to solve problems using various abilities that you gain while exploring a large map. While there's a map and way to take snapshots, you'll need to remember where some obstacles are, that you cannot solve with your current abilities, so you can pass them later on. I enjoyed it a lot. Would recommend to others who like a challenge.

A must play for Metroidvania fans. Good story and good gameplay. Controls are responsive. Typical maneuvering skills seen in all Metroidvanias plus some additional interesting ones. You have double blades at first, then a bow, then a chakram. There are many amulets to choose from to improve damage output, lessen damage received, find treasure and more. Bosses fights are fair difficulty. The final boss battle was definitely rewarding.
It's certainly a good and fun game, but not great like Hollow Knight, the Ori games or Afterimage. I personally rate it closer to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night or the Blasphemous games which is still a good thing.
I completed 100%. There is a glitch when you start the Seven Seas subquest and the game freezes. You can work around this by powering off the controller (with console still powered on), then powering it back on. Quite embarrassing considering how many people worked on the game. From the credits, it looks like 2k plus employees. Quality control is lacking, which is sadly typical these days.

What more can I say. This game is so incredibly fun. It took a lot of self-control to NOT stay up all night playing this game. I have always loved the Prince of Persia series and have played them all many times. One of my favorites. And now this game is spectacular. I want to send them more money to make more. One of the all-time greatest. Great game.

you only have 1 potion of health, and before your half way to where your going, you have to use that potion. YOU WILL NEVER GET TO WHERE YOUR GOING, because you will be killed. which means you have to start over again. had I known the game was going to be like this, I would have NEVER GOT IT. you are continually getting killed. I even got mad and threw my controller on the floor for getting killed so much. that was my wake up call, so I deleted the game from my PS4 and threw the game in the trash. more wasted money. TWO HOURS OF CONSTINUALLY GETTING KILLED WAS THE END OF MY ROPE.

Why is this a thing? This is a simple little game - my son just wanted to play the game. We had to go through the tedious steps of creating an account through Ubisoft just to play it. WHY???? Why should a child have to create an account and supply an email address and have a password they need to remember? I had to use my email address and now I assume I'll be getting a ton of spam emails. Awesome.
But the game itself is good so far - would have been 4-5 stars but I'm just really pissed about the account creation crap.
