With no identity, little money, and no real evidence of her previous life, she struggles to stand on her own two feet. Getting a job and finding a place prove difficult.To make matters worse, Lydia sees that Merritt and Luca have everything she had hoped for: money, prestige, a family, love.UNMISSING is told from two POVs (Points of View): Lydia and Merritt.At first, I was a bit biased against the novel, noticing mistakes an editor should have caught. I had to know what was going to happen next. I hadn’t figured out the exact details, until Kent revealed them toward the end.

This is about a girl ( Lydia) who is abducted for 10 years and declared dead by her husband. The title says "Unmissing" so I can write that she does show up after 10 years. She does show up at her husband's house one night soon after finding her way out of the imprisonment she was in for the past 10 years. I won't spoil the story. There are parts of the story that I could not find credible. Why she didn't go to the authorities perhaps thinking her capturer could commit the same act again? This part just wasn't believable. I felt the author wrote a good story and I did enjoy it but I felt she could have made it a little more believable in the beginning. I had to keep reading to get to where it finally made more sense for it to be a thriller. The ending was very good.

I liked that there weren't too many characters to keep track of and that each one was strongly introduced and were believable. Very well written. As the tension increased, so did my mind trying to figure out "who was the bad guy and who was the good guy" 😊 If you read this, my suggestion is to pay attention to detail because it all makes sense in the end. Having said that, however, the ending does leave me with some questions regarding finality. Definitely could be a stand-alone story.... or a part one!
