I love this game! I've been playing about a year and a half, and I'm completely obsessed with it. My daughter showed me the game, and I was hooked by the sweet graphics and low-pressure game play. I like that I'm not penalized for keeping customers waiting in my town or on my farm. I love waking up and collecting the various items produced by farm equipment, ranging from olive oil to strawberry ice cream. It's a great time management game, and there are fun incentives, decorations and games within Hay Day. I showed the game to my best friend and we started a neighborhood together to participate in a weekly derby against other Hay Day neighborhoods.

This game was truly wonderful before, but it has changed so completely that I'm tempted to simply delete it. The gem shop doesn't open and stays on a light blue screen with the loading icon for about two minutes before error coding. ("Cannot connect to merchant services " or something like that.) The news tab (exclamation point in upper left corner where we get game event information and even real-life recipes) also doesn't load or often opens, but remains blank. Farm Pass no longer works for Android (Amazon) purchasers. The sale goes through and even clears our bank with Amazon, but the game never credits it to the player and I tried several times. Additionally, as other players have reported, I keep getting a pop up telling me that there's an optional update; but clicking it leads to a screen that simply tells me to reopen the game. There's no update. I've even uninstalled, then reinstalled several times and still continue to get this update pop up.

What's most disappointing is the absolute about-face game support has done. They used to be so helpful and caring, answering questions or providing helpful tutorials on how to fix most errors; but now they just tell you to contact Amazon for a fix. Amazon states that there's no issue on their end and that there's a glitch in the game's metrics; but game support simply tells me to take it up with Amazon each time I've messaged them.

All in all, it's still a mostly fun and easy free-to-play farming game with the usual grinding required to level up that gets more tedious the higher you get. They made leveling monotonously slow specifically so players would buy the Farm Pass for the high experience boosts in the rewards, if interested, and now that's broken. Unfortunately, the glitched purchases and deterioration of their customer service support team have ruined this for many players.

I used to have a blast playing this game when I was younger, so I figured I'd give it another shot. Things were going smoothly at first, but now, almost every time I try to visit another farm, my town, or go fishing, the loading bar gets stuck at three-quarters and just spins forever. It's beyond frustrating because even if I restart the game, I've usually missed out on what I was trying to do. I really hope they fix this problem soon, especially if it's not just me experiencing it. Ever since the latest update, I can't even watch ads to snag free items anymore—the app crashes every single time. And suddenly, there are no farms in the paper needing help, which is a real headache when you're trying to finish derby tasks. I have to manually check each farm to see if they need help with a boat or planting because the help symbol has vanished from their ads in the paper. Plus, all I see are ads for selling pumpkins, which is getting super annoying. The whole "tickets" thing to buy pets is over the top. It would make much more sense if we could use coins like we do for other farm animals. And let's not even get started on the crazy amount of diamonds you need to speed things up or buy stuff, considering how rare they are. It should also be way easier to get upgrade items for the barn, silo, and expansions. Despite all these headaches, the game is still a ton of fun and super addictive, with plenty to keep you busy on your farm. I'm a big fan of the neighborhoods and derby tasks. But recently, the game just won't stop crashing on me. I've tried everything to fix it, and it turns out the crashes were because my device was low on storage. I upgraded my phone, and now the game runs perfectly.
