Much more comfortable than trying to use the joycons on their own. Right side is perfect, joycon slides into place smooth as butter, stays snug and secure, and slides out easily once you press the release. The left side isn't quite as smooth, needs just a bit more force to get it in that last bit or take it out. Not too much to the point I worry about breaking the joycon or anything, but it could be smoother, and I'm sure I could file down the plastic a touch and get it to slide in perfectly. I'm sure this is something that varies from unit to unit. But when in use it's very comfortable, and you can thankfully still feel the rumble which is nice. Back has a bunch of visible screw holes, though they don't get in the way or are noticeable when being held.

For the price it's a solid option, though you may need to manually work on it a bit if one side feels a bit too snug when inserting or removing joycons.
