Link is a fictional character and the main protagonist in Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series of video games. Created by Japanese game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, The Legend of Zelda is one of Nintendo's core franchises, and has sold over 47 million copies worldwide as of 2007.     I didn't whip out the tape measure or anything but needless to say, I was very surprised by the size of a $25 Link plush. I guess I didn't consider how they might come up with the 8-inch measurement. Maybe it's like how they measure TV screens on the diagonal, I don't know. Let's just say that if your kid spotted this at your local big box store for $25 you would assume it was in the wrong place or mismarked and scoop it up, only to find out at the register that it was every bit of $25, at which point you ask them to put it back and prepare for a grand maul meltdown from your child, the likes of which no one has ever seen. But it's here now, and the kids likes it I guess. He doesn't have to know all the terrible things dad has to do to make $25.
