So I bought this to replace a 15+ year old Chi (I LOVED that old thing!) and I researched the new ones very carefully. I have waist-length coarse hair that does not like to hold a curl even with hairspray (which rarely stops me from trying! LOL). The Kristen Ess 3-in-1 is the best straightener I've ever used. I tested the heat seatings, it does reach 440 degrees and does it quite quickly. I would caution anyone with finer/thinner hair to NOT use the highest setting as I do. It's legit HOT and boy does it curl! I can finally get the cute curls I've been wanting that STAY (albeit with the help of hairspray). It's comfortable in my hand and I appreciate that the controls are not on the outside of the iron where they can be easily and accidentally turned off. I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful straightener/curler!

So disappointed. Bought this in December 2022. Not even 6 months later it blew a fuse (on the lowest setting). I called Amazon and they said they couldn’t do anything, would have to call the company. It is still under warranty, but 2 emails and 2 phone calls later to the company, I have had no response. Basically have a broken flat iron and am out almost $200.
Did not expect this from Amazon.
