I was very excited when I found out KCD is on the switch. I've beaten the game a few times on PC, but I love the game so much that I was willing to get it for the switch as well. The game runs well, though I've had 2 crashes in my current game (about 50 hours in). I should mention that load times are somewhat long to get into the game, but after that they are fairly normal for anything you might wait on.

As an avid fan of Kingdom Come Deliverance, owning it both on computer and Xbox, I can confidently say it's my all-time favorite. Its transition to the Switch has been seamless, maintaining the immersive experience that has garnered a dedicated following, of which I am proudly a part. "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" shines on the handheld console, offering the flexibility to engage with its captivating world whether I'm lounging with the TV on or traveling. The inclusion of all downloadable content (DLC) enhances the experience further, providing comprehensive access to everything the game has to offer without additional purchases.

One notable improvement over the Xbox version is the save system. Previously, I encountered numerous issues while trying to save my progress on the Xbox. However, the Switch version has been flawless in this regard, allowing me to save effortlessly and focus more on playing rather than troubleshooting.

While "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" is infamous for its bugs, my experience on the Switch has been largely positive. Apart from a few odd camera angles, the gameplay has been smooth, and the immersive historical setting remains as compelling as ever. For fans of the game or those intrigued by its unique blend of historical accuracy and open-world adventure, I highly recommend the Switch version. Kingdom Come Deliverance is an incredible game and we have really enjoyed playing it.

However, in its current state, I don’t think it is worth a purchase on Switch. The game crashes frequently and unpredictably. I had to replace several sections of quests because of crashes in the middle of them. I tried saving more often, but even so the unpredictability of the crashes would catch me as I was doing “one last thing” before I planned to save. Really frustrating. I ended up having to give up about halfway through the game and return to the $5 discounted version on Xbox.

I hope that the developers patch these crashes. If so, this game would be a 10/10 on Switch, because it is a joy in between the crashes.

I’ve put way too many hours into this. I originally purchased it for the PS4 when it came out, but didn’t get into it. The thought of it being portable drew me back in and I’m really glad I did. The story is a brutally honest for the time period. It does come off as difficult at first, but like real life you have to work your way up fro the bottom. Right now I am having a blast with so much to see and do. On the downside, it does crash about once every other day. It isn’t so bad, or super often, but since you can’t always save and since the auto save feature, only happens after events, you can lose time. I was practicing the bow for about an hour and just as I gained the level I wanted, the screen went black and it was gone. Otherwise, I’m in love with it and would give it five stars.

Finally I get to play this little jewel of a game on the Switch and I can't say anything else that I'm impressed... to a certain point. While the game, its characters, the wonderful story and environments are incredible, the Switch barely keeps the game together. There's loads of slowdown, popping graphics, crashes, lack of responsiveness... It's a miracle a game of this scope even runs on the Switch. The last events were marred with crashes, but I was so into it that I tolerated each one waiting to continue Henry's quest. I'll be replaying it... on my computer because I think I'll get a better, complete experience there. I played it for almost 15 days non-stop, I think I clocked around 110hrs, I dreaded not having time to play it, it's that good! With the exception of the music, you won't get Pentiment-levels of excellent music here, but I digress. Play this game! But maybe not on the Switch.
