This is an arcade racer (but has nothing to do with ridge racer...) indeed and if you enjoyed Virtua Racing back in the day - you might enjoy this one too. The dirft mechanic can be a bit weird/hard at first but you will master it sooner or later if you keep playing (I hate it at first tbh).

The campaign is kind of short and the online multiplayer is... dead since day1 but just like the old racers, you can keep racing - just for fun. Plus there are ton of things to unlock, trophies can be a goal and the 4 player local multiplayer provides fun too. Most people's issues are with the AI - on extreme and sometimes on hard the opponents are a bit unfair and the catch-up is massive so you will need some luck to win :)

All in all absolutely recommended.

Not played yet but needed to review with a reply to the one who says it "wants" to be a ridge racer clone. It either is or it isn't, no trying. Ridge Racer is very old and very basic. Cell shading isn't a factor here, graphics dont make a game, gameplay does
