Hi All,I have had a few third party usb c cables that claim to be good for the quest 2 using the usb Type A ports and to be honest third party cables can't hold a candle to the offical oculus fiber optic cable for oclus link.The main benefits are you head set will charge and it will charge fast, how ever you need a REAL usb c port on your computer NOT AN ADAPTER I do think alot of the issue with people having problem are before there computer is not up to date, mainly there MOTHERBOARD if you have cheaped out on the motherboard in you PC built, you will most likely not be able to use this cable. Only get this cable IF YOU HAVE A MODERN MOTHERBOARD that is decent with usb c ports on the back.Over all I am blown away how good the quality of graphics are now that oculus link are out of beta and the link cable shines, you want PC gaming to be lag free this is your cable handsdown but only if your PC has a USB C port, if you don't have that don't bother getting this untill you upgrade you motherboard or buy a pcie usb c port card.This cable is for people that don't cheap out on motherboards and get the latest IO on there boards.I have also tested this cable out on a macbook pro 16 inch intel in bootcamp windows and works great too.

I have had a few third party usb c cables that claim to be good for the quest 2 using the usb Type A ports and to be honest third party cables can't hold a candle to the offical oculus fiber optic cable for oclus link.

The main benefits are you head set will charge and it will charge fast, how ever you need a REAL usb c port on your computer NOT AN ADAPTER I do think alot of the issue with people having problem are before there computer is not up to date, mainly there MOTHERBOARD if you have cheaped out on the motherboard in you PC built, you will most likely not be able to use this cable. Only get this cable IF YOU HAVE A MODERN MOTHERBOARD that is decent with usb c ports on the back.

Over all I am blown away how good the quality of graphics are now that oculus link are out of beta and the link cable shines, you want PC gaming to be lag free this is your cable handsdown but only if your PC has a USB C port, if you don't have that don't bother getting this untill you upgrade you motherboard or buy a pcie usb c port card.

As a new reviewer I would like to compound my reviews with pros and cons. All reviews are my own and will have additional information if a product stands out.

Pros:
- quality of this item is exactly what I expected at this price point and from the packaging to the rigidity of the cable and connections I would not say the money spent is wasted.
- performance is as expected, no issues with connection, nothing complicated, and plug and play for those not looking to chase around software to have there Quest up and running on the link cable in a blink of an eye.
- Useful, this is situational, if the link cable is required for your intended use of the quest then getting this link cable on sale or at the same time as a purchase of a Quest headset will save any waiting around or researching solutions.

Cons:
- Exaggerated importance of this specific item as a whole. It is completely possible to purchase a cheaper cable with the same capability for a much lower price. You get what you pay for when it comes to part and cables aswell.
- information is scarce, an in-depth detailed information rundown of why or what the cable is for, would be extremely beneficial for people that potentially see this item constantly suggested in amazons (commonly purchased together) or (recommended because of your purchase) a customer being given a list or description of use cases could greatly increase the satisfaction of the customers purchase knowing they can confirm it fits their needs.

Overall:
This product is high quality and does exactly what it's suppose to do, if you require this cable then you will always be able to trust in a product that is designed and priced for QA and customer satisfaction. There is nothing wrong with this product but without more reason to shine light on more purposes, it is just a cable that can be replaced with a cheaper option.

I bought a cheaper version of the oculus official cable, and it constantly disconnected me from the PC. I don't mean that it became unplugged - I think the signal attenuation in the cable was bad. At this high a data rate, the physical properties of the cable really matter. The cheap cable just dropped the oculus connection every 2 minutes or so (which doesn't restore automatically). That just wont do in a survival-shooter scenario. I have been using the official cable for about 3 months now, and it hasn't disconnected me once.

I'll note that I have been very careful not to step on it and pull while playing, and I have also tried not to bend it when I store it after playing. Store it loosely while playing (severe bends of cables are NOT okay)

Compré un cable de cobre de alrededor 500 mxn antes de este, no pasó ni el mes y ya se había estropeado el interior del cable, tenía que dejarlo en una posición determinada para que este marcara cómo USB 3 en el software de oculus; a pesar de que el cable fuera super grueso y pareciera de uso rudo, no duró nada. Lo bueno que aproveché la ventana de 30 días de amazon para la devolución del cable defectuoso.

Y para no volver a gastar otra vez 500 en algo que probablemente iba a desempeñar igual que el cable anterior, opté por este, hasta la fecha todo bien, no han pasado 3 semanas cómo el otro, pero puedo decir que este durará si no me tropiezo con el, es bastante más flexible y te deja moverte más libremente, lo único que podría cambiarle es que la entrada usb c al oculus es un poco floja, cosa que no pasaba en los cables chinos, pero bueno; mientras no la toques deliberadamente, no pasa nada.

Simply the best cable you can get for your Quest 3.

I have another 3rd party cable that everyone are recommending as being the best for Quest and it works ok, but it's heavy and very rigid. It makes quest 3 quite uncomfortable to wear.

Meta's official Link cable is surprisingly light and very soft and bendable. Night and day difference.
I'd compare this cable to the excellent PSVR2 cable.

Yes, it unfortunate that the price is so high, but I'd say the quality difference is worth it.
