Yeah I believe the problem is because twitter is currently only allowing logged in users to see tweets. So just need to know if there is a way round this using the api and (more importantly) will we have to pay!

Running into the same visual on my pair of sites and so are a few other Bloggers I know.
Also having this problem on a business site so it doesn’t look very good! Would other plugins work or is it all down to Twitter changing something? Any solution for this yet?
Due to recent changes introduced by Twitter, certain services like automatic post sharing and Twitter Timeline widgets are not currently functioning.
You can still share your posts to Twitter manually by pasting the post link into the body of your tweet.

Is this permanent? so will the twitter widget be puled from jetpack as its still there, if it no longer functions im unsure why its still there

If you’re referring to the Twitter Embed Block, this should keep working for now.
However, our Jetpack Social users will see a notification letting them know auto-sharing to Twitter has been deprecated under their Jetpack Social dashboard.

thats interesting it was not at the time i wrote that post, i went to my website to grab you a screenshot as proof and now its working again.
