The Gwenllech, (Elder Speech: White Stones), also known as White River or The River of White Stones, is in Kaedwen and flows through the Kaer Morhen valley, past the keep itself, and into the foothills of the Blue Mountains. Farther west it joins the Buina.

Notes[]

  • Gwenn means "white" and lec'h means "place" or "megalith" in Breton. Therefore, Gwennlec'h or Lec'hwenn could be translated as "white place" or "white stone".
  • At the very start of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game states that Kaer Morhen is on the bank of the "Gwennlech".
