Give a Gift of Stock, Securities or Mutual Funds
Thank you for your interest in supporting VTDigger. The details below should help you with a transfer of stock or an electronic bank transfer. When making a gift of this nature, please notify Dustin Byerly (dbyerly@vtdigger.org) so we can be sure we receive your gift and use it for its intended purpose.
Donating securities held by your bank or broker
In most cases, securities will be held by your bank or broker in “street name” form and can be transferred electronically directly to the Vermont Journalism Trust via DTC (Depository Trust Company).
Provide written gift instructions to your bank or broker, and request your broker email a copy of the letter of instruction to the Vermont Journalism Trust via dbyerly@vtdigger.org.

Donating securities held by you in certificate form
By certified mail, return receipt requested, send the unendorsed certificate(s) to the Vermont Journalism Trust, PO Box 1374, Montpelier, VT 05601.
In a separate envelope, send an executed stock power form to the same address. Sign the stock power exactly as your name appears on the certificate and leave the rest of the form blank. Include a letter of instruction specifying the number of XYZ shares being transferred and the gift designation.
