VTDigger, a nonprofit, independent and nonpartisan news source, is deeply committed to Vermont. Every day, our reporters provide our readers with essential daily news coverage, and we invest in hard-hitting, investigative reporting that makes an impact. Vermonters rely on VTDigger, and we, in turn, rely on the generosity of our members to provide our community with the local news they need and want.

As Vermont faces a severe housing shortage, changing demographics, economic disparities and a rapidly changing climate, Vermonters need VTDigger to provide news and context about the issues affecting their lives. Our work gives Vermonters what they need to make informed choices and participate in the decision-making process to ensure Vermont is a place where its residents can thrive — a desirable place to live, work and visit.

VTDigger makes its news available for free because we believe local news is an essential public service, and lack of means should not be a barrier to civic participation. However, this type of well-researched, original reporting takes considerable financial resources to produce and distribute. If you value VTDigger’s reporting and have the resources, please consider making a gift today. Together, we can ensure all of Vermont stays connected, and our readers stay informed and engaged on the issues that matter most to them.

Questions? We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about giving to VTDigger. Please feel free to reach out to us and let us know how we can help.
