    I’ve been relying on word-of-mouth over a public profile to get to where I am in my career, and I’ve been humbled that it’s worked so well. But I think we’re at one of those historic pivots in tech. And, I also think we’ll all regret not having these next parts documented, so I’m taking you along with me on my next steps in AI. Full disclosure, this will only be relevant if you’re interested in the Hospitality sector and how AI can be used to improve our lived experience in a significant way. For my newest challenge I want to focus on timeless industries. Industries where we can’t replace the human element with AI. But AI will allow us humans to do our best work and give our best to others. These also happen to be the industries with lots of moving parts and complex decisions to be made, relying on accurate predictions alongside expert judgement for success. I’m grateful to Ben Dixon for trusting me to lead on Machine Learning and AI development at Sona. Follow along to see how I’m taking everything I’ve learnt about machine learning systems, algorithm design and the incredible new capabilities of language models to a whole new level, to help create a great experience for both the team and the customer.

    ✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽'𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿���𝗲𝗿𝘀. 🙏 We are grateful to Angela Fletcher, Nick Swash, Lucy Fletcher, Claire Bunker, Cassie Vasey, Liz Clarke, and Emily O’Callaghan for welcoming us into their beautifully refurbished office in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. 💚 We met many amazing team members from every level of the organisation and saw how much of a difference Yorkshire Care Group Limited has made in their lives, as well as the lives of the people they support. 🤝 We learned about their culture of #WorkingTogether and how inspiring it has been for staff members, encouraging them to communicate, grow in their careers, and embrace change. 🚀 The exceptional growth Yorkshire Care Group has experienced in the last 18 months comes as no surprise at all. We are incredibly grateful they chose Sona to support this journey, and we look forward to releasing this exciting customer story soon. PS: We also found the most well-stocked snack bar we've ever seen and were treated to all the Yorkshire tea we could handle - clearly a recipe for success. 🍵
