Welcome to ‘The Sauce’ – your dollop of marketing news from the past week. This week, we are sharing all on Häagen-Dazs, Olympic ads, and Instagram updates… 🍦 Escape 2024’s Summer of Sport With Häagen-Dazs Häagen-Dazs has launched pop-up experiential activity which has already visited London and Manchester, and will head north of the border to Edinburgh on 2nd August. 🏃♀️ Let The Games Begin ‘Let the Games Begin’ features comedian Tom Allen, and was created by adam&eveDDB and DDB Paris. It will run until the Paralympics finish on 8th September and will feature across TV, social media, radio and OOH. 📲 Has Instagram Lost its Identity? At Awesomesauce, we stay current with marketing trends, and this week we explored Instagram’s focus on short-form video content, as addressed by Adam Mosseri, amidst user concerns that the platform has lost its identity, diverging from its original photo-sharing roots and frustrating content creators with constant updates and algorithm changes. Brought to you by Awesomesauce Marketing - a full-service marketing agency serving UK and international clients. #HäagenDazs #Olympics #Instagram #MarketingCampaigns #Awesomesauce

Human memory is not perfect—less than 16% of ads are remembered and correctly linked to their brands, and more than a third of online ads go unseen. Marketing Week and VCCP’s 'The Challenger Series' tackles this issue by focusing on the science of memory, which is key to brand growth. Their report, 'Cracking the Memory Code,' shows that memory acts more like a filter, making us forget most things. Interestingly, we don’t remember things because we like them; we like things because we remember them. We work with our clients to create consistent and memorable content that will help their brands stay in people’s minds. Have you thought about the science of marketing for your next campaign? #memory #marketing #marketingstrategy #awesomesauce #marketingcampaigns

It’s Sarcoma Awareness Month! At Awesomesauce, we have a close connection to sarcoma, and are therefore delighted to be working closely with the Sarcoma UK team again this year for the 2024 campaign. As always, the ambition is to raise awareness of sarcoma, a bone and soft tissue cancer. Each year’s campaign has a focus – last year’s ‘Does Size Matter?’ campaign was designed to raise awareness of sarcoma by bringing humour to the concept of tumour size and aimed for large scale reach on a national level. This year’s ‘Don’t Delay’ campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and focuses on targeting the message to specific demographics and communities.
