Sandra Bernhard is apologizing to Morgan Fairchild for her behavior on the set of Roseanne.
In a recent interview, Bernhard admitted she didn’t have a good relationship with her co-star due to her snotty attitude and has since offered an apology. It’s one of my biggest regrets that I wasn’t nicer to her,
Bernhard said on Watch What Happens Live. I was a little dismissive of Morgan, and to this day, would like to say to Morgan, you are incredible to work with, you went there.
Everybody was kind of not nice to her,
admitted Bernhard.
Difficult Set Conditions
Bernhard had a recurring role on the ABC sitcom as Nancy Bartlett while Fairchild appeared as her bisexual girlfriend Marla in three episodes. On the Bravo late-night show, Bernhard highlighted their pioneering role: we were the first gay couple on TV.
Directing her message to Fairchild, Bernhard expressed deep appreciation saying, I owe you an apology. I adore you. And thank you for putting up with my snotty little attitude.
No Easy Way to Reach Out
The conversation continued with host Andy Cohen asking if Bernhard had reached out directly to Fairchild. Unable to find the right way, Bernhard stated, I didn’t really know how.
Cohen prompted that this might be the perfect occasion for reconciliation. Bernhard agreed: I think this is the time. She will watch [the show], and she’ll hear it. She’s a great lady.
