Mysterious Nile Girl Thutmose (不思議少女ナイルなトトメス, Fushigi Shōjo Nairu na Totomesu) is the 12th series in the Toei Fushigi Comedy Series created by Shotaro Ishinomori and produced by Toei. It was inspired by the Tutankhamun boom in Japan at that time.

On April 2020, Thutmose became one of the 70 shows to stream on the Toei Tokusatsu World Youtube channel.

Plot[]

"I want to fight beautifully, as long as the sun is in the sky. Mysterious Nile Girl Thutmose."
―Thutmose's pre-battle catchphrase

Sanae visits her ancestors' grave to report she was moved house. However, her arrival damages the family mausoleum, and releases 51 Nile demons that were formerly sealed inside. Sanae's ancestor, Thutmose, orders her to recapture the devils, using the secret identity of Mysterious Nile Girl and her newfound Egyptian magic powers.[1]

Overview[]

The original idea of the episodes was to gather the people involved in the case and find the person who was possessed by the Nile Demon, the idea was even used until the second episode, but the scriptwriters decided to change to a battle format similar to the previous series.

The script was written by Yoshio Urasawa, who wrote all the episodes. The main director was Shinji Murayama, 68 years old. He directed most of the episodes.

A movie version was scheduled to be shown (co-starring with the previous series "Poitrine"), and the script was completed, but due to various circumstances, it was never produced. The script itself was later used in episode 31.
