Giants Software has announced Farming Simulator 25, the latest iteration of the hugely popular Farming Simulator franchise, and it's coming in fall.

Launching on November 12th on PC and current-gen consoles (although not Nintendo Switch), Farming Simulator 25 will introduce Asian farming to the series, allowing you to look after rice paddies in a "lush East Asian landscape".

You'll also be able to farm in North American and Central European locations, each of which offers a unique challenge and different landscapes for you to enjoy while you harvest your crops.

New crops include rice and spinach, which will join a roster of "well over 20 overall", and you'll also be able to raise buffalo alongside more conventional Farming Simulator livestock like chickens, sheep, and cows.

Naturally, since this is a Farming Simulator game, you can also look forward to tons of authentically-licensed farming machines from brands like John Deere, New Holland, and Case IH, plus lots more.

You can check out the cinematic announcement trailer for Farming Simulator 25, which shows off some of the game's new, luscious-looking Asian landscapes, right here. Be aware that there isn't any gameplay in this trailer; it's more of a scene-setter than an indication of how the game will actually look.

Farming Simulator 25 will be based on "the latest and modding-friendly Giants Engine 10", according to developer Giants Software. It's an upgrade over Giants Engine 9, which was used for Farming Simulator 22, the previous mainline entry in the series.

That engine upgrade will also bring boosts to the game's visuals and technical underpinning, with improved distance fog, dynamic weather, and much more bringing a new sheen of realism to your farming experience.

You'll be able to check out Farming Simulator 25 when it launches across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on November 12th. More info is coming soon, so stay tuned.
