Gaz' friend was a Red Dalek who often spoke with Gaz about recent events involving the Doctor over drinks in the Skaro Arms.

He once commiserated with Gaz about their latest defeat from the Doctor, but took some pleasure from the fact that this new incarnation wasn't as bad as the Alternative Doctor from the two movies who used to attack them with wooden stakes and garlic. (NOTVALID: Doctor Who? 96)

Later, he and Gaz discussed yet another new incarnation of the Doctor whom they believed to be the weirdest to date. He corrected Gaz about the reasons behind this as he believed it was down to a faulty regeneration but in actuality the catalyst was the beginning of his career in pantomime. Sometime after this, he became curious about the differences between the Dead Planet and Invasion of Earth Dalek models and asked Gaz about it. Gaz (an Invasion of Earth Dalek) explained that his kind received satellite television from the dishes on their back whereas the Dead Planet model had no such dish. (NOTVALID: Doctor Who? 168)
