What's with the name?

Mystery because Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, Sphinx because of Ormos, Archive Keeper, Library because there are so many books in the card art of this deck and we're exiling all of them, and 3000 because that's how many +1/+1 counters we're trying to put on Ormos. Also I'm a nerd for Mystery Science Theater 3000.

How does this deck win?

Thassa's Oracle, Laboratory Maniac, and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries say "you win the game" so you can do it that way, but the fun way is to win with commander damage. Both strategies rely upon there being no cards in your library, so this is a very high risk deck.

You can win on turn two with Paradigm Shift, Thassa's Oracle, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and two Islands. You can do it with Hapless Researcher and Laboratory Maniac as well.

Typically though, you'll be trying to get to six mana to cast Ormos, Archive Keeper as soon as possible and then exile your deck. With three Islands, High Tide, Arcane Signet, and Lightning Greaves, you could cast Ormos with haste on turn 3.

You can use Goblin Charbelcher + Mana Severance to win.

You can also win with Hive Mind + Paradigm Shift .

How this deck came about...

I thought what if I remove all the white spells from my Card-Draw Bunny Battlecruiser and make Ormos the commander? So I designed that, but you simply cannot draw all the cards in your deck quick enough to utilize Ormos's +1/+1 counters ability. So I moved on to self-mill, and ended up designing around Persistent Petitioners. Again, too slow. That's when I explored self-exile...

Wholesale relocating your library into the exile zone is very risky (but expedient — Paradigm Shift!): lose Ormos and you're dead unless you get her back out before you have to draw a card or you have Living Conundrum out. You could also use Tel-Jilad Stylus to help. So it's a real glass cannon.

But I love this deck because self-exile is unique and you have to go all in — we're here for a good time, not a long time.
