My first commander deck that I’ve been tooling with over the last couple of months since I got back into MTG (and the first time I’m getting into Commander.)

Obviously built around creature cycling to trigger enters/exits battlefield effects and abuses/stacks life gain/life loss effects. Ratadrabik of Urborg + Teysa Karlov really ramp up the trigger abuse especially if I can pull her back out of the graveyard. Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord is a pesky bugger to help get anything back that people do keep in the graveyard (which is less likely to happen once Teysa is out, especially if I can copy her with Ratadrabik), and Elspeth, Sun's Champion serves as a splash of token generation along with a few other cards, to help feed the machine and in theory add a secondary win con. The current sideboard is just cards that I pulled from the last iteration for some new additions.

My group has decks that range in strength and this one is starting to round out okay right now, maybe not quite middle of the pack but I think it can punch up. A lot of the instant/sorcery/enchantment selections are designed around combating some of the most common issues I have with those decks as well as keeping people’s board occupied until the machine starts churning. I’m not looking for something crazy powerful/expensive but I’m always looking for options to make it more efficient and raise the power level a little while I find a good balance.

I am eyeing the infinite combos with Marauding Blight-Priest (though I plan to plan them sparingly based on group dynamic) and Westvale Abbey for some more muscle. Stuff like Wound Reflection is also on my radar. I’m also thinking about a few more Tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor to help get the machine running early. And then obviously anything that might be an upgrade to existing cards is a welcome suggestion.

I’m still tweaking the mana ratio/ramp so things that help maximize mana are welcome suggestions. Obviously Sol Ring is on my radar. Trading a few sac lands or basic lands for Creatures that sac to search lands like Burnished Hart would also mesh well.
