So I haven't looked over your deck yet but there are a few I stant spells that give +1/+1 or +2/+2 and indestructible. So it helps do both of what you want to do. Also consider cards like Niveous Wisps, Guided Strike, Bandage and Defiant Strike to draw cards.

I used to have an Eight and a Half tails voltron deck which was difficult but fun to play. I really like your spin on it. If you go to edit your deck and put CMDR Next to 8.5 Tails then they will pop up as your commander. For White, Some mana rock suggestions are cards like Marble Diamond and Pearl Medallion . Just helps out with mana fixings. Some good protection spells i would suggest are things like Comeuppance , Niveous Wisps , Brave the Elements , and Pariah .
