Avarice Totem is a bad card

Soulless Jailer and Chef's Kiss are too specific cards that are not synergistic

Negate can be replace by a general counter spell

Brand is useless imo

Contested Game Ball just ask people to attack you

Harmless Offering and Wrong Turn are useless if zedruu stick on the field

Scrambleverse is pure chaos. It throws game and does not make it fun anymore, neither for u or your friends

Jinxed Idol is anti-synergistic cause you give creature

You have to many creature-focussed removal and not true "remove all" (like Witness Protection or Path to Exile. Keep enchantment, they are synergistic with Zedruu)

You have to many wincon, choose how you want to win and remove the other (keep them appart and modify you deck if you want to try new thing)

Remove more that 18 cards and add some lands

Consider adding some protection for Zedruu

After that, remove some bad gift and some "givers"

I don't like giving creature to opponent cause they can just sac it, or kill it during combat. That's just my opinion.

I don't like bad gift zedruu, again that's my opinion

Very good choice of commander

More important : play the card you like the most

This looks really fun!

As far as cuts: I would honestly drop a lot of the control pieces. Magus of the Moon / Blood Moon hurt you just as much as your opponents due to having only 2 basic Forests.

Glacial Chasm doesn't particularly make sense in a deck where combat is a wincon. If you needed to stave off combat, I think board wipes would probably be more effective (Chain Reaction for instance).

Clown Car can get cut since it doesn't do a ton here. Ditto for Avarice Totem and Glaring Spotlight.

Temur Sabertooth is kind of mediocre unless you have really strong ETB effects and want the indestructible. Arcbound Crusher is also much worse than it looks - I ran it back in the day when I played kitchen table magic and it didn't particularly hold its own even there.

Hope those help you with cuts, GL HF!

The "you" in any spell refers to its controller. If an opponent gains control of Tavern Brawler, then commanders that player owns will have the exile-pump effect while in play, whether or not they control the commander.

Let's say an Avarice Totem has been passed around. You now control an opponent's commander. That opponent controls your Tavern Brawler. When your upkeep starts, you will exile a card off their library, their commander (that you control) will get +X/+0, and you can play the card that you exiled.

If that opponent instead controls their own commander and your Tavern Brawler, that commander would get the exile-pump effect on their own upkeep.

Since Tavern Brawler grants the ability to a commander instead of having an independent effect, whoever controls the commander will gain the effect, regardless of who owns it, and every commander that Tavern Brawler's controller owns will have the effect, regardless of who controls it.

Grafted Wargear can probably be cut for something. It gets the job done and has a 0 equip cost for if I dashed, but it really just lets you hit a little harder. Hero's Blade can be awkward, too, but it's nice when it works out.

I built the deck around having very few instants and sorceries, but I think a few more wouldn't hurt. As far as other things to add, that's up to you. You know your meta and can adjust to it as needed.

If playing competitively, you might want to add anything you can that makes sense for that environment, but I can't help you there.

There are a lot of odd synergies and combos here, so just keep that in mind. Playtest the deck a bunch to see how things usually play out without adding to it with opponent's cards. Make sure you know the tricks you can do with Avarice Totem. Learn what Magda, Brazen Outlaw needs to search for to end the game. I hope it works for you.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, it's a bit of a chaotic deck. I sought to integrate multiple themes and lots of ideas, so an apparent lack of focus was pretty much inevitable. I haven't had issues with the deck not working, though.

First, the suggested cuts:

While Pillardrop Warden and Cogwork Archivist might be a little less efficient than other options, they are a bit more flexible in how they are used. The archivist is useful if I want to put Glimpse of Tomorrow back into my library They both also have reach.

Tavern Scoundrel and Witch's Oven are good ways to sacrifice something that might otherwise be exiled, stolen, or temporary. I can sacrifice Homura, Human Ascendant  Flip to flip him or gain control of an artifact with Confusion in the Ranks. It's a useful effect to have access to.

Mishra's Self-Replicator is a good mutate target, and I can trigger it fairly easily.

Delina, Wild Mage can copy Legendaries. I could run Helm of the Host for this effect, but this is what I am using for now.

Avarice Totem disrupts plays and scales extremely well in the late game. It can be tutored with Urza's Saga as well.

Chandra's Ignition is a solid asymmetrical board wipe, and good for clearing away pesky utility creatures.

Second, your suggestions:

I have a few options for more draw that I'm already thinking about, and utility lands are something I can easily play around with. I eventually need to add my Treasure Vault and Goblin Welder to the deck, but they are tied up in other decks at the moment. I think impulse draw isn't ideal for this deck. If I end up exiling Glimpse of Tomorrow because I can't cast or suspend it.

So what is the goal of this deck? Is this sort of a chaos/token deck? I can see the skeleton of the strategy, but I also see theft, pirates, and burn. My main suggestion would be try to trim some of the out of place cards. Thoughts on things to include/remove regarding the token/chaos strategy:

Possible additions:

Trailblazer's Boots or Prowler's Helm - low mana investments that let Ragavan be nearly unblockable. I currently don't see that many ways that allow Ragavan to get through late game.

You run enough pirates that Breeches, Brazen Plunderer might be worth it

Ardent Elementalist is a new card that is the red version of Archaeomancer

Curse of Opulence - easy tokens and mana

There are a fair number of goblins that come with tokens so I would look into some of those

Rionya, Fire Dancer for temporary token copies for your best creatures

I see very little in the form of card advantage so you might consider things like Light Up the Stage, Ignite the Future, Faithless Looting, Mask of Memory, etc.

Some utility lands like: Treasure Vault, Geier Reach Sanitarium, Myriad Landscape, Kher Keep, Buried Ruin, Dormant Volcano, and Maze of Ith or Thaumatic Compass  Flip/Spires of Orazca

Possible cuts (most of these are odd fits or just inefficient cards that have better alternatives):

Pillardrop Warden, Cogwork Archivist, Witch's Oven, Tavern Scoundrel, Mishra's Self-Replicator, Delina, Wild Mage, Avarice Totem, Chandra's Ignition (great card, but not at it's best in this deck).

Overall I like the deck idea, I just feel it needs a little more focus. +1 from me.

In a recent game with my Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer deck, I got a player to waste 10 mana using the Avarice Totem I let them keep because I had Deflecting Swat in hand and was going to win through commander damage the next turn.

I was like...sure, I don't need to use it right now, and I don't have enough mana to stack the activations so that I end up with the card again, but if I give him the card, I pretty much know how the next turn will play out, and I'd rather give him the rope to hang himself with.

This looks like a fun start on a classic archetype. Avarice Totem is an all star.

Lich's Tomb can be neat alongside Jackal Pup effects.

Blue gets cards like Sky Swallower , Role Reversal and Vedalken Plotter .

For each X your opponents conntrol cards can work well in lists like this, especially artifact hate.
