ahahhahaah uncolonized territories count for conquering the world :D

I've tried multiple paths to taking this much territory. I don't know how you achieved this with the base game. The Aggressive expansion debuff absolutely killed my ability to expand. I had to constantly deal with revolting provinces. Stationing armies in some regions doesn't even seem to effect this at all. They just rebel anyway and immediately get put down shortly after. I just don't understand the game mechanics or how it wants me to play it to try and achieve the actual size Rome reached historically.

I even tried a run where I peacefully took in various other cultures and constantly did everything I could to not be Roman, allowing most other cultures to be equals and even have characters ( non historical ) even this didn't work. The Provinces still rebelled and everyone was unhappy.

i got to the same size as rome reached irl but it became laggy as hell
