Buen juego de acción-plataformero doblado al Español (Castellano) e Inglés (con actores conocidos del sector) y traducido al Francés y Alemán (si no me falla la memoria)

Me he encontrado algún bug que al informarlo en el foro de Steam, los desarrolladores han fixeado prácticamente de forma inmediata, cosa que se agradece.

Es un juego muy entretenido con progresión basada en objetos y niveles con algún que otro poder y "secretos" escondidos en los distintos niveles.

Me lo he pasado bien, en ocasiones se muere más de lo que se desearía pero es cuestión de aprender las mecánicas para poder ir avanzando entre los distintos tipos de enemigos y bosses.

En definitiva, es más que jugable. Me lo he pasado en unas horas y no me arrepiento de haberlo jugado.

Templar is okay if you don’t mind that the gameplay is repetitive, it reminds me of playing something like ‘Kung Fu” for the NES, though in this game you will find equipment, and it has better visuals and a little more going on generally.

Another game this reminds me of is another raw indie called Jrago, though Templar 2 is more zoomed in and even more combat-centric than that.


The main menu does a transition before showing you your options to select. If you press a button to speed through that process (like you would in a lot of other games) it instead just selects the top option (continue). Oddly, I’ve played other raw indie games by spanish developers that have this same quirk.

It’s one of those games where the up/down on the control stick is far too sensitive. Often my character will duck when I don’t want him too and was just trying to move sideways.

I encountered a number of other bugs that caused me to have to reload the game, from being unable to select a level on the map screen, to having equipment from my inventory disappear.

The dev was impressively quick to fix a bug that I reported (within an hour or three of me mentioning it).


Occasional leaps of faith where you will just have to jump and pray that you won’t land in the instant-kill spikes because you cannot see the platform below. There are times where an enemy comes from both sides and that will frequently result in your death if you didn’t already know it was coming. Trial and error like this isn’t actually that bad as the levels are short. Restarting a level never felt like a big chore, even if it kind of pissed me off sometimes due to the unavoidable nature of my death.

Combat is very spammy and is all about timing. I am a very fast button masher so I actually have to try and slow the pace of my mashing playing this because it can get exhausting repeatedly mashing the attack button in this game. Occasionally you’ll need to kick your enemy to push them back so they don’t walk in and deliver contact damage. Some enemies are immune to your kick, so you need to back away while attacking and sort of kite them. When you aren’t dying to unfair BS, the common cause of death will be that you didn’t throw in a kick in time to push back your enemy.

The voice acting and comic-book styled cutscenes are done very well for an unknown indie game, I was impressed with this aspect.

The music is decent, sometimes heavy metal which again reminds me of Jrago.

You will collect better equipment from enemies and whilst exploring the levels, which are linear stages.

The game isn't bad. I have dropped it before finishing, but I can say I found it fun and intriguing. Worth a look if you are into strange indie side-scrolling adventures.
