you'd have to send a link to the screenshot... and screenshots get uploaded after you close out of the game, unfortunately.

Steam needs a better screenshot system.

Because they link them from their steam gallery.

You could, while playing the game press F12 to take a screenshot, then ALT+TAB to Steam, direct yourself to your own profile and select screenshots, then select *upload screenshots*.

Choose the screenshot you just took and upload it to steam.

Select the screenshot that you just uploaded on your screenshot page (may need to refresh*) and copy link adress (highlight the address and choose copy link address).

In your post on the forum right click and choose paste.Steam will automatically make a thumbnail, like below.

EDIT: Appears using the overlay does not allow access to uploads,so changed using the in game overlay to ALT+TAB and using steam direct.

=)

Just tried it for a game I'm having problems with, only problem is I think I clicked paste URL not link, so it came up as a hyperlink instead of a screenshot. Will see what happens next time.

so wait u upload it while playing the game or after u play because i cant see the screenshot in my post

You can upload while still in game, or once you exit the game. But note that when you type your post it just puts the URL in text format. It only gets converted to the screenshot once you hit 'Post comment'.

Easiest way to do it is to just upload a screenshot to steam (doesn't really matter if you do it before or after you finish play). Then you find said screenshot in your library and open up it's bigger picture. It'll pop up on a minature window and in the top left of that window should be a url looking link. Copy that, and then paste it into your next post.

and THAT is what you'll end up with.
