Thats how you return the trust of your playerbase?
Just make this offline already if its not selling enough instead of spitting on us.
It was a conscious design decision by the developers and is part of the artistic freedom.
Players these days take on everything. Do I now go to every artist and say I don't like the color in your picture? Then don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buy the picture and buy one you like. It annoys me how gamers babble on developers about changing something because they want it that way. Accept that there is something about this game that you just don't like, end of story.
I love the online gameplay, where you can passively solve puzzles together with players from all over the world in a relaxed atmosphere.
Thats what the developers wanted to create here.
I understand a game without achievement is like a cheese burger without cheese, something is missing. However, this same attitude of "I do not buy because there is no achievement" is actually killing the game.
Due to poor sale rate, some developers are looking for other job and if things worsen, maybe they will shutdown the server, making the game completely unavailable.
Art is subjective therefore you can say whatever you think about it...
Also this has a selling price so consumers can say what they feel about the product.
There's no real reason for multiplayer beyond "anti-piracy" crap because it doesn't add anything to the game only makes it likely unavailable once they shut the servers. And if that's not enough, the fact that a lot of people aren't buying it due to that pretty much states it was a bad design choice, intentional or not. Sure, the devs can keep it like this and it's entirely fair and their choice but at the end of the day that's also part of their failure to plan and to sell. Videogames are as much art as they are business.
