About Furnish Master

What is the game about?

This is a relaxing game about furnishing apartments, houses, commercial estate and even outdoor territory.

Is it a life sim, like The Sims?

No, it is not a life simulation game and cannot be compared to a sims series in any way. This game is all about placing furniture and other objects around and there are no plans to add life or family management mechanics.

Will there be a story mode?

Yes, such mode will be a major part of the game. But it is unknown yet, if there will be characters and illustrations/cut scenes, or just a text driven story.

Sandbox mode without limitations?

Yes, there is a sandbox mode with all content unlocked.

Will it be possible to change the color of walls, floor or furniture?

Yes.

Can we make our own rooms with any size?

Yes, there is a small room editor, so you could make a room with a shape and size you want.

Development and release

When will Furnish Master be released?

February 20th 2024

Steam, GOG, EGS, Itch.io ?

Steam is a main target platform. There are no plans to release on other platforms yet, but the game may become available there after a couple of months after release.

Will there be a beta or public playtest?

There is a demo available on Steam until game is released.

Is there a development roadmap I can checkout?

Technical Info

What are supported platforms?

PC, MacOS and Linux (including Steam Deck)
Mobile platforms are not planned.

What are minimal and recommended specs

You can see specs on the game's store page

What engine does the game use?

Unreal Engine 5

Will there be mod support?

Yes, but due to some technical difficulties it may be unavailable at the release.

How much additions do you plan for over time? or do you plan on a full release in one go?

It'd be awesome if we could place NPCs and customize how they look even if it's not aiming to be like the SIMs. Definitely encourage an in-game editor to change the size of the rooms

Regarding NPCs, right now I only plan to add pets. After the game release I will think about making an update with human NPCs.

the developer was here in july, should've edited this pinned thread or the store page, whichever has the incorrect information.

For Steam, the Store page is the correct one...

that's not how it works. both the store page and this faq were done by the developer, except at least one of them is inaccurate. not surprising, plenty of useless info on store pages all the time, this one is just more noticable.

btw, have you triedr finishing a sentence with a single period? works just as well.

Hello! Thank you for noticing, I simply forgot to edit requirements in all the places (Steam, forums, Discord e.t.c).

yeah, it definitely doesn't work on win7, as the store page says.

Yes, sorry about this again. :D The game does not support Win 7.

Hello! Thank you! The game will cost 15$ in the US. Other countries will have their own regional prices.
