Steam, unlike other platforms takes a lot of precautionary measures for Account security, as it's a bit of a common issue, and I'm not talking about the e-mail verification.
Not running 2FA puts a 2 week safety-net on any trade you try to make, just so you have time to react if your account was compromised, if any shady comments are made support will lock your account services like spending money or trading items until you can prove it is you.
Support staff actually exist on Steam where on Battlenet they're almost all automated responses, and on Activision's side you've got support clearly offloaded to an external company, where you're going to be sitting in a usually hour long minimum queue, during certain times of the day, and on certain days of the week, because they only take support options in live-chat form and not tickets just to hope to god you give up on getting what you paid for.
And among other things just general launcher clunkiness, while Steam has had worse performance with their chat and library UI updates, the usability of them is fine, but they just eat up background performance if left open.
Battlenet has a poorly laid out UI particularly after the UI redesign that for the first year failed to load things half the time, is used primarily to sling advertisements for their different products at you, while their settings menus continue to be confusing to sort through, social features are clunky and underdeveloped outside of WoW integration, and their shop interface is awful, advertising MTX as much as their games, having a terrible search function, and not having any user review/rating features.
Not everybody is as fortunate.
That information is not publucly available.
