Publisher's summary[]

Every pirate in the sector is after the lost treasure of Count Dooku! Will Captain Ithano and his crew beat his rivals to the prize?[3]

Plot summary[]

During the Clone Wars, the Obrexta III, a Separatist cruiser, is attacked by Republic forces while attempting to deliver a valuable prize to Count Dooku on Serenno. Battle droid B1-CC14, following its programming, launches the starship on a random hyperspace trajectory to escape. The Obrexta III subsequently crashes into the remote desert planet Ponemah, leaving it to be forgotten as the war rages on.

Several decades and wars later, the pirates of the crew headed by Sidon Ithano, known as the Crimson Corsair, pick up and decode a distress signal coming from Ponemah's dangerous Sea of Sand. The Ishi Tib Pendewqell, imagining vast riches, makes a case that they should search for the Obrexta III. But the crew of the Meson Martinet are not the only pirates to have cracked the signal, and a race to be the first to claim what must be fabulous treasure ensues.
