I've just thought of something. About the conjectural title situation, I just thought that since this organization includes the Judicial Forces that the more correct title would be Republic Uniformed Services. The idea came to me when I was looking through Wikipedia and read the entry on the U.S. Armed Forces, that the five branches were part of the U.S. Uniformed Services. I don't know how to nor do I think I'm allowed to change page titles so it's up to you guys on which sounds better. Jedi Wolf 5:14, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Yes, but that's still conjecture. Until a canon source calls them the Republic Uniformed Service, all you'll be doing is moving an article from one conjecture name to another. And that's how you go about changing names, by the way. That little button between "History" and "Watch" that says "move". You just choose the new name of the article, but generally this needs to be discussed or voted on first, unless it's an obvious spelling error or a canonical name for something appears. • Tried it. I just wish I knew this before I merged my intended change. Jedi Wolf 1:26, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
      • Unless someone can find evidence of the Republic Departments of Commerce and Health and Human Services (Sentient Services?), I'm changing the in-paragraph name to match the article's title name. Uniformed Services include the military and police, but usually include more than that. Toasty McGrath 05:19, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

Merging[]

I don't believe this article should be merged with Republic Military. They are two separate organizations. The RAF was formed after the Republic Military had been dissolved. Both articles however need help. Coruscantfan 18:19, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

  • The Republic military is still the Republic military, regardless of what you want to call it. It's still the organized military branch of the same Galactic Republic government. The organization itself my have undergone reform and been called by different things during different time periods, but the song remains the same. I think it would be appropriate for the central Republic Military article to be organized similar to the way the Republic Navy article is now, discussing the organization's development across different eras in a single article, though ideally less list-like. We would need to use redirects and highlight the different names used, obviously, but that's not a problem. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:27, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
    • Ok, well if you can delete or whatever the RAF article, I've started work on this article to include the other information. Coruscantfan 18:54, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

?[]

This article contains essentially nothing of the military's twenty-four thousand years of existence from its emergency formation in the Tionese War, its downsizing after that war, it recreation in 15,000 BBY, its takeover by the Pius Dea, to the various roles it played since then?? 108.56.196.116 22:02, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

Judicial Forces[]

if this notes the "Republic Army" between 25,053 and 1,010 then the Army of Light between then and 1,000, shouldn't it note the Judicial Forces between then and 22 BBY? Perhaps just a note saying "See Judicials" or something? 173.79.239.142 19:11, January 4, 2014 (UTC)
