THIS PAGE IS FOR LEGENDS INFO ABOUT AHSOKA TANO.

This is the talk page of Ahsoka Tano, which is used to document information about Ahsoka from Star Wars Legends stories. In order for those stories to make sense, though, we also include all Ahsoka stories from before April 25, 2014, the day that the Expanded Universe was rebranded as Legends and became non-canon. We therefore include the events of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and television series, allowing the Legends stories in which Ahsoka appeared to fit within the context of the larger The Clone Wars multimedia project. However, as Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars: Season Seven, in which Ahsoka is a character, were released after April 25, 2014, we do not include information from them on this page, as they never existed in a continuity with the Legends stories. Because of that, the Ahsoka story documented on this page ends at "The Wrong Jedi." If you would like to know what happened to Ahsoka after that episode in official canon, please see Ahsoka Tano.

Dual Lightsabers[]

In season 3 Ahsoka begins carrying a second lightsaber with her "to better defend herself", as her Clone Card on the official Star Wars website puts it. This should be added to the information in the Lightsaber section, should it not? 173.180.89.129 08:22, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Lightsaber training-Ataru disinformation[]

Greetings, I have noticed that in a few articles, namely in Ahsokas and Anakins, is a part stating that Ahsoka recived lightsaber training in the form IV Ataru. And the reference to this is a novel "Wild Space" by Karen Miller. I have read this novel and this information is wrong. In the novel there is a sceen where Ashoka trains with Anakin (He trains her in form VI Niman) and tels her to do 50 repetitions of the basic form level 1 of Niman. Now after she is done he spars with Obi-Wan and they both use form IV Ataru, Ahsoka and several other jedi watch them. Now mere watching can't be called training, just as I can't say I train tenis if I go and watch a game of it. I do not know of any other source stating that Ashoka actually gets training in it. If you can't find something canon, then this has to be changed. I asume someone made a mistake or didn't pay attention. I hope you will change this, I didn't change it myself because there might be some other source I don't know of and since this acc is new someone might think it's spam. Thank you for your attention --Hitsuji-V 14:39, January 15, 2011 (UTC)Hitsuji-V

  • I haven't read the material in question, but your argument is faulty. It sounds to me like Anakin was supervising a sparring session that his padawan is involved in. That's like saying a football coach isn't coaching when he is observing a scrimmage. Darth Adonis 03:06, January 17, 2011 (UTC)
    • Maybe I didn't describe it good enuf, I went through book again to make sure it's corect, Ahsoka is not involved in sparing. The scene starts with Anakin and Ahsoka arguing, she did something bad while training, afterwards Anakin tells her to do Niman form level 1 alone (If you are familiar with martial arts a form in this context is like a kata in karate, a fight with imaginary oponent (something like shadow boxing in boxing), sword scools have them too). She does this alone and a remote records it so they can watch it later for review. And Anakin is on Balcony watching her together with Obi-Wan. When she is done Obi-Wan takes her training saber to spar with Anakin (to demonstrate high level techniques) and Ahsoka goes to balcony to watch them and several other knights and padawans come to watch them as well. Now it is stated specificaly twice that Ahsoka is doing Niman. And it is also stated that Anakin and Obi-Wan use Ataru while sparing with each other. But it is newer mentioned or implied that Ahsoka does Ataru. --Hitsuji-V 16:27, January 17, 2011 (UTC)Hitsuji-V
  • i have never read the novel, but i don't think you would lie about this. Ralphjedimaster 16:30, January 25, 2011 (UTC)

Putting Her Future Self Image Into the Article[]

i think we should put a image of Ahsoka's future self from Overlords into the Mission To Mortis section since some of us were wondering what Ahsoka would look like when she is Shaak Ti's age. If anyone wishes to object or not, you are free to do so. Unsigned comment by 121.212.18.91 (talk • contribs).

  • If there's room for an image, sure. But it would be better if the image included both "older" Ahsoka and younger Ahsoka in the same frame. And I would caution against assuming that the "older" Ahsoka we saw is really what she'll grow up to look like. That creature could have just made something up. Besides, we don't even know if Ahsoka lives to adulthood or not. ~ SavageBob 17:40, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

In the words of Master Yoda: " Always in motion is the future" We don't even know if the Ahsoka will reach that age, as we don't know her ultimate future. Should could reach the age as seen in her vision, or she might be struck down in Order 66.--{{SUBST:User:Jhayk' Sulliy/Sig}} 19:11, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

Death in Altar of Mortis[]

Ahsoka dies, briefly, in Altar of Mortis and is immediatly resurected by the Daughter. Altough she didnt stay dead, should we still list this as a Date of Death, since several other articles list dates of temporary deaths (ie Darth Krayt). --The Great and Grand Count Mall!(Bow down before me!) 05:24, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

  • I don't think she actually died. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Anakin said she was dying Korsa3 05:30, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
    • The episode guide does not say anything, and at the moment any addition such as that would be considered speculation. JangFett (Talk) 05:40, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Somebody DID add a death date. Also, there seems to be two Ahsoka articles, because the other one didn't have a talk page and I had thought this talk page was deleted so I made it. Was a bit confused on that one. Wondered where the 1000+ posts had gone. Not that I have a problem with two Ahsoka pages. It might actually help her cause (LOL). MongooseLover (talk) 19:57, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

  • 1) You edited the talk page of a redirect. Ahsoka redirects to Ahsoka Tano. 2) There aren't 1000+ posts on the talk page. 3) This particular conversation thread is over a year old, and there's no point responding to it. Addition to personality and traits[]

Think we should mention in the article about how she acted when she was briefly turned to the darkside? I mean she acted like Harley Quin and hated being called snips, the latter at least desreves a mention I just think it would be good to add it in to further expand the article (Evil-Tree 15:23, February 5, 2011 (UTC))

  • I think her behavior should get a mention. Alot of detail should be avoided, though, because it is speculation how much of that was Ahsoka and how much was purely the Son's influence.--The Great and Grand Count Mall!(Bow down before me!) 02:22, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

Addition to masters section[]

I think we should put Son in the masters section as Ahsoka's dark side master becuase after Son bit Ahsoka, she acted like a servant to him. If anyone wishes to object or agree, you are free to do so.Unsigned comment by 121.212.129.239 (talk • contribs).

  • It will be regarded as speculation, unless it's confirmed by an official source. JangFett (Talk) 04:48, February 6, 2011 (UTC)
    • But isn't most things speculation. I mean, the way Obi - Wan looks is speculation the same this master thing is because we see it. A source has to say in words his skin is this, hair is that etc... I agree with 121.212.129.139. --Ca'nara ne gotal'u mirjahaal - shi gotal'u hastaal. User: Laney97 16:40, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
      • Please take a look at our policy regarding this. Speculation has no place within articles. Thank you for your cooperation. JangFett (Talk) 16:53, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

it's about time[]

i think now that several new episodes have aired, it's about time someone changed her profile pic to one of her in her new outfit (i can't do it, as i don't know how to upload pics). Ralphjedimaster 20:27, February 9, 2011 (UTC)

  • There has to be a vote between the current pic, and the proposed one(s) you'd like it to be changed to. Korsa3 23:07, February 9, 2011 (UTC)
  • Right. If someone can find a good picture of her in the new duds and upload it, we should have folks here choose between them. ~ SavageBob 23:56, February 9, 2011 (UTC)
  • it looks like someone didn't know that and changed it anyway. take a look. Ralphjedimaster 03:45, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
    • That shouldn't have been done. Popular/Main characters aren't suppose to have their info box pic changed without a vote. There was argument about this for Han's page I believeKorsa3 21:21, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
      • Looks like JMAS changed it. You'll have to speak with him about it. There is also some discussion about changing the picture further up on this very page. Might want to read it. OLIOSTER (talk) 21:32, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
        • It's not a question of popularity. For those who may not know, there was a dispute before about the non-CGI artist drawn Ahsoka and the CGI one, which had to be settled via vote. JMAS' replacement of the infobox image for the article was by no means wrong. The previous image of Ahsoka was due for a change. I think it's best if we let it go to avoid any redundant arguments. JangFett (Talk) 21:38, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
          • Just to address any confusion here: while yes, infobox images are put to a vote when there are multiple candidates, more recent images of a character at an older age automatically supersede any "younger" images, regardless of whether they were picked by the community. We don't have an image of Luke Skywalker as a [[:File:Baby luke.jpg|baby]], and we don't show Obi-Wan Kenobi as a Padawan in their infobox images; that just wouldn't be proper. One of the few exceptions is Anakin Skywalker, whose image was voted on a while ago to specifically show his younger, more choice-driven self. So here, the "oldest" image we have of Ahsoka is the best fit, as it shows her at the most mature stage we currently know. CC7567 (talk) 05:34, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

2.2 Updated with new information[]

Someone really needs to finish writing about Ahsoka's role in the Mortis arch and then add The Citadel in. I would do it, but I don't know how, and I can't write very well :)--99.181.152.102 02:59, March 1, 2011 (UTC)KoonTano

  • Anyone is welcome to do it. However, I'll most likely add what I can into the article, as I am currently writing Citadel information in both Echo and Five's articles. JangFett (Talk) 03:02, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

Also someone needs to add and update this article with information from the "Slaves of the Republic" tv story arc, the "A Friend in Need" episode, and the "Rako Hardeen" TV story arc. everytime i try to add the information, it is deleted right away. I mean i put down the source in the sections i put in and then they are deleteted. The article needs to be up to date by now, especially when we are close to the end of the 4th season.--CC-1990 21:05, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

Content approaching[]

The season 2 + 3 entries have already been done so maybe it's time to refresh this bar While the episodes have been written up, articles like Wind Raider's of Taloraan, No Prisoners and The Valsedian operation have't even started to be written Maybe a redo is in order to keep editors focused on these topic that have been forgoten Evil-Tree 17:24, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

Birthdate?[]

Maybe I'm missing something, but if Tano's birthdate of 35 BBY is correct, wouldn't that make her, uh, six or seven years old by the time of The Clone Wars? Grand Admiral Sean8 23:48, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

No, 35 - 21 equals 14. If Ahsoka was seven years old, that would be 28 bby. --Uded00

I apologize for wasting everyone's time. I was posting after surgery and was still under the influence of painkillers. 75.70.2.222 04:12, April 15, 2011 (UTC)

Actually, the smaller the number, the closer we are to the Battle of Yavin. So, to figure out some one's age in the Star Wars Universe; you subtract the current year from their birth date. E.g. Anakin was born in 42 BBY and the year is 21 BBY, so he is 21. That is because 42-21= 21. Simple math. So, 35-21= 14. So Ahsoka's 14--184.36.251.193 19:35, October 9, 2011 (UTC).

Shyriiwook speaker?[]

I think it would be important to put under Ahsoka's abilities that she can speak or at least understands Shyriiwook. She clearly demonstrates this while talking to Chewbacca. I wanted to mentioned this before I added this and just to find out that I couldn't. - Drgns007 04:33, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

  • Be bold, and add it to the P&T then. JangFett (Talk) 04:59, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
    • I agree, but from what we know she can understand Shyriiwook but there's no evidence to say she can speak it. Saying she understands it would be the right edit. Evil-Tree 07:50, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
      • As a reminder, no one needs permission to edit in these articles. You may insert any new information, and properly source it, without having to make a discussion talk item. JangFett (Talk) 13:15, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

Beginning "Bio" info seriously needs updating![]

Ok, the info on her bio at the beginning (The beginning section that ends with her saving some children from the Emperor's new order, that should include the reason of season 2 and season 3 info.

This does pertain to the article editing, not Ahsoka herself. --138.87.151.169 02:12, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

New Infobox Picture[]

Ahsoka2-SWE

I think that this should be the New Infobox Picture

I really think that this picture, should be the new infobox picture. It shows an accurate and detailed picture, as well as her in action. I personally think that the background also makes her stand out, quite alot.

  • I'd call the background and the lightsabers a very distracting thing in that image. I agree however that the infobox image should be replaced by one more recent, if a good one can be found. 1358 (Talk) 10:00, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

Slaves of the republic continuities[]

How will the article be reorganized after the slaves of the republic arc from TCW finishes off? Because the comics and TV series will contradict one-another, and it can't be two separate instances because it wouldn't make sense and the queen dies anyway.... Skywalker here[Skyguy007] 06:56, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

Pic suggestion[]

I know that the issue of which images to include or not include in the article seems a perennial topic on this talk page, but I thought I'd mention that this image, from the Clone Wars miniatures set, is a canon, more realistic version of [[:File:AhsokaAnakin-TCW.jpg|this one]]. Considering 90% of the images on the page are CG ones from the cartoon, I wouldn't mind seeing the more realistic one replace its CG counterpart in this case. Just a thought. ~SavageBOB sig 18:22, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

I think it would be silly to replace an easily recognizable image from the television series with the miniatures set artwork. I'd rather see The Clone Wars-related articles and/or sections with images from The Clones Wars show. In fact, I think the picture we have now is fine, though that's of course just my opinion on the matter. // ~mikah~ 23:17, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
  • He wasn't talking about replacing the infobox image. He was just making a suggestions for replacing one of the other CGI images in the article, for some image diversity. I say go for it Bob, as long as you can find another article to house the image you propose replacing. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:20, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
    • Exactly -- I just think some non-CG versions of Ahsoka would be nice, since she does have a life outside the cartoon. I'll see what I can do once finals are over. ~SavageBOB sig 02:47, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
  • i think there should be a section about her relationships she recently just kissed or got kissed by Lux Bonteri there should be atleast a small section about itUnsigned comment by Joaquin546 (talk • contribs).

Ahsoka's Powers and Abilities[]

Let's not forget that Ahsoka's skills in dual-blade combat were enough to fight two Jedi Master of Obi-Wan's caliber and a Jedi Knight of Anakin's caliber when she briefly turned to the dark side on Mortis, as well as many Separatist droids. It is possible that during her brief turn to the dark side that she had a basic usage of Force Rage, such as when she was enraged by Anakin's taunts. Also, she has an affinity in the use of Force Visions, such as when she predicted Senator Amidala's death at the hands of Aurra Sing. The fact that her telekinesis is strong enough and precise enough to pull down that huge stone wall during the Battle of Christophsis while perfectly missing Anakin through that hole in it. I tried to add these changes, but the notifications would not let me. Can someone help me out?Unsigned comment by Jedi Legacy (talk • contribs).

Fanon?[]

why does this redirect to fanon? 24.125.93.50 01:50, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • Please note our new policy.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 01:52, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
    • There is no new policy as you describe. What you refer to is one that allows Fanon to be CONSIDERED while making canon, nothing more. That gives Lucas and Co. license to use Fan stuff in canon, and for damned sure not the other way around. I hope all these redirects will be fixed on april 2nd; this isn't the only page suffering.Unsigned comment by 98.204.201.13 (talk • contribs).

Eyes[]

Shouldn't her dark side eyes be put in the infobox? Even though she was under the Son's influence, her eyes still changed color. --Emperordmb 10:31, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

Question[]

I know I should not ask about her fate, but I was just wondering something. The Warning template at the top of the page says to "please stop asking". Have there been any cases of Wookieepedia users asking about Ahsoka's fate? I know that this is NOT a forum, but I am just curious. Please don't block me. I promise NOT to ask about her fate. Season 4 content[]

Why is new information from Season 4 of the clone wars is being deleted? Should there be information on stuff like, the battle of Kadavo, the republic-separatist peace conference, and the naboo light festival? These events should be include in on Ahsoka's page since season 4 is over. Unless wookiepedia is waiting for Leland Chee to decide how to set things up.--CC-1990 13:24, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

All I am saying is that if this is just art work, such as the picture of Aayla Secura's breasts that is on one article, why have this artwork be part of Ahsoka's. I think this falls under "Changes to the Article Discussion" don't you? 75.89.54.2 08:03, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

  • Your initial question was phrased as a general "where is this from?", a type of question that belongs in the KB. However, I would tend to agree with your sentiment, as the idea of utilizing Visions paintings relies as IU relies on them being blatantly canonically plausible. I believe the image and that section should be removed from the article because the existence of the artwork in a book that also contains non-canon material is not enough to say she didn't die. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 08:31, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I meant for my first question to lead into my second, but I am with you on removing the section and picture. The Clone Wars TV Series is not over yet and there is no evidence to say if she survived order 66 or not. 75.89.54.2 08:36, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

Masters[]

In the "Masters" section, I think that Terra Sinube, Aayla Secura and Luminara Unduli be placed as informal mentors as they all had taught Tano something at some stage in the series. 120.144.71.148 06:34, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

On the poster for Season 5[]

I noticed Ahsoka on the "Who will fall?" poster for Season 5. Though it didn't say that she would die, it now opens that possibility officially. Also, Ventress was added to that poster, yet I thought she is listed on Wookipedia as going off into the Unknown Regions, so clearly she can't fall, so why is she in there? 138.87.145.214 18:56, October 12, 2012 (UTC)

Ahsoka passed the great Jedi trial[]

Shouldn't the last update on Ahsoka fate (the wrong Jedi episode), add the fact the Jedi council wished her back, not as a padawan learner, but as a Jedi? Mace Windu and Ki-Adi-Mundi clearly specified she passed the great Jedi trial and that she became an ever greater Jedi "than otherwise". • Please do not add speculation into the article without confirmation. As far as the episode showed, she was a Jedi Padawan still prior to her rejecting reentry into the Jedi Order. JangFett (Talk) 00:11, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
    • Sorry if I was misunderstood. Don't mean to add any speculation, as, indeed, it isn't specify she would have been reintegrated as a Jedi. But the two masters clearly said she passed her great Jedi trial. I can give you the quotes, they even repeat it. So, I'm no expert, but the great Jedi trial is the key to become a Jedi right? So, I just say, maybe it should be specify in the last update that the master told her she passed the great trial... Like it is specified she think that Offee "had been right about the Jedi Order being corrupt" : she never says that in the episode (but we understand she may think that). That's all, no speculation, just plain facts. We don't know of course if that means she would have become a Jedi right away. 69.172.81.67 04:25, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
      • She is a Jedi. If you're referring to her Knighthood, that's not confirmed. JangFett (Talk) 04:26, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
        • Yeah, sorry, I meant Jedi knight. Indeed, they didn't say it, they just spoke about the trial. Thanks for the answer ;-) 69.172.81.67 05:18, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

The Jedi Counsel said that "this was your great trail." for a Padawan to become a knight they have to pass a trail (OB1 killed Maul, Anikin suffered the trail of the flesh from Dooku (per the Clone Wars Micro series) + his actions in the Clone Wars, so if Ashoka did not quit the Order she would have been a full Jedi Knight, sadly they had to have her quit the Order because if she had stayed in as a Knight then Mace's line in Star Wars III:RotS about "you're on this counsel but we do not grant you the rank of Master." would have been BS since a Knight becomes a Master after teaching and having his/her/it's Padawan become a Knight. Chasemarc (talk) 20:33, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

While it is possible for battlefield events to act as a substitute for the Jedi Trials, all four trials still have to be completed. This might qualify for a few, but I don't think it's enough for all four. It is true that they had to remove her from the story because she isn't present for episode III, but I don't think she would have qualified as a Knight if she stayed, especially after what, two years as a Padawan? Which usually takes about ten years. - Arch angel gabriele (talk) 09:35, March 5, 2013 (UTC)
There is no rule or time table for how long one is a padawan ten years is just typical but one should remember that typical number was built over a thousand years of relative peace. War has a way of fast tracking promotions as it provides opportunity to prove ones self. That aside they had to remove her from the order to avoid the whole messy aspect of showing her die during Order 66 or confirming her survival. Of course she can always come back to die horribly in season six.--LordVukodlak (talk) 23:12, March 5, 2013 (UTC)

I thought I read somewhere that she survived Order 66.

Powers and Abilities[]

I think it's time to fully update Ahsoka's powers and abilities(including lightsaber combat skills and force powers.) The page should emphasize how her skill surpasses that of many jedi, even some jedi masters( although at her age she should only be graduating to padawan)since she can hold her own against Grievous' four lightsabers. She's also able to send a blast of force energy powerful enough to knock over a whole squadron of droids. At around age fourteen, Ahsoka not only is much younger than all other padawans but also is capable of defeating three Magnaguards despite having been introduced to the battlefield for the first time. These are just a couple examples. All I'm trying to say is that Ahsoka should be noted for her skill and high potential.--69.27.245.13 19:45, April 4, 2013 (UTC)harrison

Incorrect word usage[]

I've noticed this sentence;

As they navigated their way further through the tunnels, Tano became the object of open criticism and condensation by Tarkin.

Condensation is what happens on the outside of a water glass on a hot day - I believe the word you want is "condescension."

"open criticism and condescension from Tarkin." would be the correct usage.

Personality and Traits[]

Under the Personality and traits section, I'm questioning the neutrality of the author. Ahsoka is written off as arrogant, condescending and rude. While she may have glimpses of these traits they do not define her as a whole. The section needs some serious rehab to give a more accurate description of her personality, and how she grows as a person. PadawanBarrissOffee (talk) 17:53, March 22, 2014 (UTC)

  • For the first season thats how she is shown so i think the writer only saw the first season but i tend to agree it does looks like its biased and needs to be changed. Zenkid (talk) 17:11, April 2, 2014 (UTC)
  • Well, that's because...she is. She's either arrogant, rude or condescending (or all three) to just about all the characters in the show, if not all the time. I think the section does pretty well conveying her overall personality; it doesn't just focus on her rude side, it elaborates on all parts of her personality. Granted, there are a few phrases that don't seem entirely neutral (which can be fixed)...but I think it's fine for the most part. --Jeyo Talk Contribs 08:09, April 6, 2014 (UTC)

Born on age[]

I think the date she was born on should be removed completely The person who put it there was using human aging as a base point. Yet most humans who die of old age die 25 years after there togruta counterparts. Combine that with togrutas being predators. And Ahsoka remembering in a nice amount of detail Plo Koon finding her even though she was 3. As well as not criticizing Rex for calling her a kid. And Anakin stating she was a little young to be a Padawan even though he would not know a non-humans normal Padawan age. But would likly given his nature at ten know how fast a common Non-human would age. All points to her being younger than they belive her to be. Zenkid (talk) 18:21, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

Actually I was looking at it and she is remarkably old to become a padawan given that she became a padawan as she became one at fourteen despite the fact that on the article for jedi which states that at the age of thirteen without being paired off they would instead go into the jedi service corps. Which is remarkably strange because it is stated that she is young for a padawan when it was common place to become a padawan at age 10, while in the case of obi-wan at age 12 he became a padawan and at that point it was considered that he would flunk out. Yoda's Vision[]

Should we add a section or at least mention what happens during Yoda's vision? Unsigned comment by CC-1010 "Fox" (talk • contribs).

I don't think so it was to test Yoda not a true vision it might give the wrong impression to some of the readers Zenkid (talk) 15:56, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

I disagree. We just need to be specific about the fact that it was a vision that Yoda had. CC-1010 "Fox" (talk) 16:01, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

Hmm but we would also need to be specific about the fact that it was not a true vision just a test. Zenkid (talk) 20:08, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

Any new info?[]

Ok, other than that brief vision, which wasn't really her, in Season Six, is there any more mention of her elsewhere? There has been talk that her fate ended in the series, which is now over. Anything that mentioned her fate henceforth, unless they put her in Episode VII, is likely to be non-cannon or not from Lucas or Disney.

Right now even a lot of the EU is most likely to be non-canon with them making more movies. I'm wondering if we should take that template down at the top of this talk page as it seems very likely that we DO know her fate (said template was put up years ago when they were still making episodes for the Clone Wars series).

MongooseLover (talk) 21:07, June 17, 2014 (UTC)

  • No, we do not know her fate. Any discussion will result in a temporary block from editing. JangFett (Talk) 21:17, June 17, 2014 (UTC)

Fulcrum[]

We have more info now. Someone going to write up her appearance as Fulcrum in the Star Wars Rebels Season 1 finale? She's gotta be pushing 30 years old, there. Unsigned comment by 99.239.114.204 (talk • contribs).

  • You're thinking of the wrong article. Read that message in big text at the top of the page. Trip391 (talk) 23:45, March 7, 2015 (UTC)

No, in latest episode of Star Wars Rebels she revels her self is Fulorm. Trip391 please watch Star Wars Rebels so you can get a better understanding of it. Also, she should be added under Fulorm for a edit of someone could the basic info is on Wikipedia if anyone need a reference for her.(comics1996)

  • This page is for Legends. We keep The Clone Wars episodes in here in order for the Legends stories to make sense. Rebels is part of the official canon, so you can find the Ahsoka/Fulcrum information on Ahsoka Tano. That's the page Trip was referring to. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:43, March 11, 2015 (UTC)

Authorized?[]

Some one with the authorizations needs to go change her birth date to 35 BBY on her normal page. someone should also add the information about her time in the new Jedi Order with her husband Kol Kerz-Tak under the Grand Master Luke Skywalker. if anyone needs detail on her time in the new order please let me know. i would change this my self but i dont have the authorization level.

Star Wars Rebels

I was just watching Star Wars Rebels at 10:30 PM on the Disney Channel. I rebel with the same name and older physical characteristics was seen at the end of the episode. It may be worth looking into. 64.12.116.197 03:11, March 28, 2015 (UTC)

Spelling error[]

Please fix (I lack permissions, being new here): In the "Behind the scenes" section, Ashoka the Great is referred to an "Indiana emperor". He was an Indian emperor. "Indiana" is an American state, not an adjective. Thank you, Javapassus (talk) 22:44, April 8, 2019 (UTC)

databank does not appear to say she was fourteen[]

I am investigating the claim that her the Databank (original) said she was 14, in line with "I'm fourteen" from the novelization (which was rewritten in the film scene the next month).

The earliest archive of this (15 May 2008) at https://web.archive.org/web/20080515230531/http://starwars.com/databank/character/ahsokatano/index.html does not appear to say that, but I will check subsequent archives to see if they added it at a later date...

3 September 2011 is just before the closure https://web.archive.org/web/20110903030539/http://starwars.com/databank/character/ahsokatano/index.html

As far as I can tell there weren't any changes to this profile throughought. What it says is...

Ahsoka Tano was Anakin Skywalker's Padawan. Discovered by Master Plo Koon, Ahsoka was a Togruta girl who was raised in the Jedi Temple. She graduated to Padawan at an early age, in part, as an effort by Master Yoda to teach her new Master, Anakin Skywalker, a greater sense of responsibility, but it was also necessitated by the Clone Wars. Regardless the reason for her advancement, Ahsoka remained eager, almost overly so, to prove herself worthy of her status as a Padawan.
As a result of her rigorous education, Ahsoka tended to play most situations closer to the book than did Anakin, but she quickly learned that sometimes there's no substitute for a healthy dose of Anakin's derring-do. Straddling the chasm between Anakin's passionate impulsiveness and Obi-Wan's staid deliberation, Ahsoka held much promise.

It doesn't look like it changed at all between May2008/Sep2011. Am I wrong? Unless it got changed and then changed BACK at some point (if so, can someone link a version showing that) it looks like the database NEVER said anything about her being 14.

As such, the previous statement on this page:

the StarWars.com Databank, The Clone Wars Visual Guide, and The Clone Wars novel say she was fourteen by the time she was chosen as Anakin Skywalker's Padawan

Appears to be wrong, and I've altered it, as I do not believe the databank said that, only "at an early age".

Furthermore, the novelization didn't actually say she was fourteen in an authorial sense, rather SHE did (could've been lying) and what is important to note is that they rewrote that scene in the movie, so the canonicity is pretty questionable.

You see that contrast between novelizations / movies in other cases like Hotel Transylvania 2 for example. "A few years later" in the movie is changed to "one year later". A "naked" Gloremus wrapping itself in a towel becomes a fully-clothed "Todd" in the final copy. Novelizations are sometimes written from early scripts for a film (such is the case with HT2, which also uses Gloremus instead of Todd) rather than the final script used to produce the final copy of a film, so contradictions occur and presumably the canonicity of the film itself would trump the premature novelization with all its inconsistencies.

That's been pointed out... now the last cog to investigate here is Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Visual Guide released 26 July 2008 like the novel. I'd be interested in reviewing a copy, or at least one particular. Would anyone happen to know which of Fry and Scott's 144 pages mentions her being fourteen? I haven't been able to find a preview of it on Google Books like with Traviss' novel.

Given what seems like a glaring error (saying the database did when it appear not to have) I think it's important to clarify what the Visual Guide contains. Of course, since it was released at the same time, it too could've been based on an early "I'm fourteen" version of the film script which was ultimately abandoned, and thus of questionable canonicity.

Which begs the question: what is the next best source (POST film, preferably) which supports that being her age at the time?

"Born 36 BBY" lists "The Official Star Wars Fact File Part 18 (AHS1–4, Ahsoka Tano)" as a reference, so I'll check that. 7 May 2014 is pretty late though. Also... I really gotta complain about the naming scheme here...

Really? "Part" is all they could add to distinguish the 13-years-later remake series? Ugh. Anyway, I found the cover of that to make it easier to locate. Does anyone have a copy on hand? No idea where to order these things. talk2ty 05:01, June 2, 2019 (UTC)

I have updated the section of her bio as it pertains to Ahsoka's lightsaber forms. A more expansive & accurate account has been provided, ranging from character motivations to which techniques were adopted throughout her career. All directly sourced from the 43rd issue of the 2014 Official Star Wars Fact Files, as well as the Jedi Path. Supporting scans can be provided if needed. Add Season 7 Info[]

Per Wookieepedia:Canon policy#How does Wookieepedia treat Expanded Universe .22canon.22 now.3F shouldn't all The Clone Wars Season 7 be added to the legends article? TysFTW (talk) 02:55, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

  • Per the same section - 'Cinematic canon: This level combines G-canon and T-canon, as defined in the previous section (with the exception of Star Wars Rebels, which was not released before April 25, 2014 and therefore did not apply to the Expanded Universe).' I'd say that Season 7 of TCW wouldn't fall under Legends because it was released after the given date similar to rebels --Lewisr (talk) 03:11, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
    • I think editing the AhsokaTalk template to explicitly state that Season 7 is not Legends either is a good idea, so if you'll excuse me... SilverSunbird (talk) 03:15, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Star Tours appearance[]

Okay, so I'd like to know what the big deal is about adding the Ahsoka Tano update in Star Tours: The Adventures Continue to this page. Updates or not, it's still a Legends ride. I know the update that added her was based on a scene that happened in one of the Disney Plus shows (which aren't part of Legends), but there's no reason to believe it couldn't just be a similar scene involving Ahsoka Tano that happened in the Legends timeline. Her activities after the Clone Wars aren't covered by Legends, so this is what she could've been doing in 1 BBY for all we know. Same for all the other Sequel Trilogy and Disney Plus updates that were made to the ride since 2014.

Star Wars: The Old Republic gets updated all the time, but we still count the new stuff as part of Legends. So these could just be events that occurred in Legends that happen to be similar to stuff we saw in Disney Canon, but are otherwise completely different incidents involving the Legends incarnations (including ones that happened to be invented for this ride) of these characters. And even if it's somehow incompatible with what Legends established, I was still listing it under "Non-canon appearances", so why bother deleting it? EldritchNexus (talk) 06:31, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
