The RK-3 blaster was a model of blaster pistol manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. and later Sonn-Blas Corporation^[1] that was used by the Galactic Empire,^[2] the First Order,^[4] and the crime lord Azmorigan.^[5] Imperial officers like Agent Kallus,^[6] Thrawn,^[7] Admiral Rampart,^[8] Captain Mann,^[9] and Arihnda Pryce^[10] used the RK-3. The Clone X trooper CX-2 used one was a backup weapon.^[11] The bounty hunter Bossk'wassak'Cradossk also wielded a RK-3 blaster during a raid on the Halcyon to capture Stolak Vandello, a former member of the Black Sun syndicate.^[12] The First Order TIE Fighter Pilot Elrik Vonreg carried a customized version of this blaster.^[13] The First Order Security Bureau agent Tierny wielded two black RK-3s.^[14]

The blaster has a stun setting^[15] and was effective in close-range combat, but it was ineffective when fighting heavily armored enemies, making it weaker than standard blaster pistols.^[4]
