The Feather was a central object in the faith of the Cosmic Balance. When siblings of the Faithful came of age, their parents presented them with either the Feather or the Bowl, indicating their path in life and the Life To Come. Those given the Feather were free to pursue their chosen careers, while their sibling's piety was used to enrich them. In the Life To Come, however, those given the Feather would be expect to serve the sibling who was humble in life. Bakuran Senator Gaeriel Captison was a recipient of the Feather, as were her parents, Dol and Marga Captison.
