"Darth Maul: Saboteur" is a short story written by James Luceno, set in 33 BBY. In February 2001 it was made available online in eBook format by Del Rey. It is available for immediate download from Amazon.com for US$1.99 and is approximately 14,000 words in length. The story was later published in the paperback version of Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter which was published by Del Rey in December 2001.

Plot summary[]
Commissioned by his Master, Darth Sidious, Darth Maul is sent to intervene as a saboteur on the mining planet Dorvalla and see to it that the competing mining companies, Lommite Limited and InterGal, merge to one and leave the shipping of the ore to the Trade Federation. The young Sith succeeds and truly takes Darth Sidious's side.
