"I think my friends and I are going to have some fun before the Jedi arrive and ruin everything."
―Deva Lompop[2]

During the High Republic Era the Kara Xoo's Tempest launched an attack on the people of Hon-Tallos. The Nihil member Deva Lompop took part in the attack and wanted to have fun with the attack before the Jedi arrived to stop them. The Nihil used flamethrowers and a Spider Cruiser to attack the city.

Prelude[]

During the High Republic Era, the Nihil maraduers waged a conflict with the Galactic Republic starting with the Great Hyperspace Disaster.[4] On the astronomical object Hon-Tallos, the Kara Xoo's Tempest prepared to launch an attack before the Jedi arrived to stop them. Deva Lompop and other Nihil were already on Hon-Tallos and were waiting to strike. During this time, Lompop helped the Nautolan girl Vroma, stop her bullies. Lompop told her to leave so the attack could begin.[2]

Attack[]

The attack soon began after Lompop told Vroma to leave. Lompop and the other Nihil priates took out flamethrowers and began to light up the buildings around them. This caused the civilians to run off from the attack and seek shelter. But Vroma casually walked away, believing Lompop to be a nice lady. During the attack, there was also a large Nihil Spider Cruiser, towering over the city and laying waste to the buildings around it. The Spider Cruiser used its laser cannons to create explosions all throughout the city. Because of the flamethrowers, fires erupted around the city, adding to the chaos from the fleeing civilians.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The attack on Hon-Tallos appeared in "Tales of Villainy: A Very Nihil Interlude" the backstory of the fourteenth and final issue of the 2020 Star Wars Adventures anthology Star Wars comic book series. The comic story was written by Justina Ireland, illustrated by Nick Brokenshire and published by IDW Publishing[2] on February 9, 2022[5]
