What We Know So Far

As detailed in there are a total of four Kits coming between now and April. These, we are led to believe are the community-voted Medieval and Goth Fashion inspired Kits. A leak earlier this week via the EA App itself confirmed that one of the new Kits coming soon is the, now appropriately named The Sims 4 Castle Estate Kit.

Other than that, the rest of this Sims 4 Sensational Roadmap is open to player and community interpretation.

It’s also important to note that this is the last roadmap and wave of content for the current 2023/2024 financial year. It truly has been a year jam-packed full of content with two Expansion Packs, the return of Stuff Packs, multiple Kits as well as game updates and a variety of Sims Delivery Express drops. It does make you wonder what the new financial year has in store for the franchise. However, that is a thought for another day.

The Upcoming Content

Here are the confirmed content types that we will see during the next few months:

  • Two Highly Anticipated Kits
  • One Beautiful SDX Drop
  • One Sparkling Stuff Pack
  • One Celebratory Build Kit
  • One Co-Created Style Kit

Speculation and Hints?

We all know that the hints are usually right before our eyes, and this is where we begin to speculate about the themes of the upcoming content.

Throughout the short video, you can see a variety of different decorative pieces scattered amongst the jewellery box.

From familiar features in The Sims such as the Grilled Cheese, Freezer Bunny and the infamous Eye Ball Ring on the right-hand side.

However, if you take a look at the main section of the jewellery box, starting from the top left box, you’ll see some objects that link to the two Community-Voted Kits. Moving across we have some items that are linked to the upcoming SDX drop. This could mean we are getting some new formal outfit choices, maybe some jewellery and maybe even some new hairstyles. Again, only time will tell!

The second row of the Sims 4 Sensational jewellery box we know relates to a Sparkling Stuff Pack and Celebratory Build Kit. A first thought is that the Stuff Pack may link into an Arts & Crafts theme. Potentially it could be jewellery making or maybe even Glass Fabrication. Again, this is purely speculation on our part for the time being.

You may recall that Arts & Crafts was a theme that was previously explored and a part of the Community-Voted Stuff Pack back in 2019!

Could jewellery-making or glass fabrication be making it’s way into The Sims 4?

As for the Build Kit, maybe some objects are themed around discos and parts but expand on the object choices we already have in the game.

The third and final row of the jewellery box seems to hint at the Co-created Style Kit which, in itself raises numerous questions. Who is it in collaboration with? Is it a brand or a creator? If so, which brand or creator? With so many questions relating to just this Kit alone, we will have to wait and see!

We reached out on Twitter and started the conversation in our Discord to discover what the community thinks of this latest Sims 4 Sensational roadmap.

Here’s our original question that we proposed to the community:

The community had a lot to say regarding the latest Sims 4 Sensational roadmap. Overall there was a mixture of responses. Some players welcomed the news and were excited to see what is to come whereas others felt that it was somewhat underwhelming and slightly confusing based on previous content releases.

Even over in our Discord Server, we had very similar conversations—everything from excitement for the content coming over the next few months as well as some concerns. Most of these echoed the general themes and topics that numerous players across social media shared.

This is a completely normal feeling for the game’s community when a new teaser or roadmap is released and rightly so. Even though we are coming to the end of this current financial year, some players were hoping to see the return of Game Packs. Something that we haven’t seen since The Sims 4 Werewolves was released back on 16th, June 2022, so just over eighteen months now.

However, some players remained hopeful for when the next Roadmap rolls around. Despite that being a few months away, we don’t know what the Team are currently working on. The next roadmap will be released in the new financial year and maybe it could follow a similar content release pattern that we’ve seen for this year. There’s no denying that 2023 was a good year for The Sims but will it follow suit and be another Sims 4 Sensational year just like the current roadmap is themed about? Only time will tell!
