Konami has just announced that eFootball 2024 will be hosting a series of in-game events and campaigns to celebrate its ambassador, Lionel Messi, who has been crowned the world's best player after winning the Ballon d'Or for an astounding eighth time last Monday.

Starting November 2, players will have the chance to acquire three unique in-game editions of Lionel Messi, each dedicated to celebrating memorable performances from the Argentine’s extraordinary career as a footballer.

These three cards highlight some of the most remarkable moments in Messi's football career. The card dated December 12, 2022, celebrates his exceptional performance in the World Cup semi-final, where he led his team to the final, elevating Messi's rating to 101 as a center forward.

Meanwhile, his iconic header from the May 27, 2009 Champions League final is represented by a right-wing forward (RWF) card with a 101 rating.

Finally, the highest-rated card, at 102, is another RWF card, commemorating his May 6, 2015 goal in the Champions League during his time at Barcelona.

Each version of Lionel Messi will come with the addition of the booster feature. This feature allows player stats to exceed the normal rating ceiling of 99 and boosts player stats individually.
