Clear an RPG mode quest with a player 2-controlled partner |

Once you complete episode 8 in RPG mode you will then be able to have a partner join you on quests. Katalina will be unlocked with the completion of episode 8 but you will unlock the ability to use all the base characters as you progress through the story. Then select any quest where you can have a partner and go to the quest preparation screen. From there hit 
on your partner and it'll take you to the customization menu. By default the Partner Settings will be on CPU, change this to "Player 2" and this will allow a second player to join in local co-op. Then complete the quest and the trophy will unlock.
Note: You just have to complete a quest with the quest options set to this. You do not actually need to have a second controller or player join you. Doing it this way will leave your partner just standing idol the entire fight.
