What A Day Looks Like in Pokémon Sleep

■ When Night Falls...
It’s time to track your sleep! All you need to do is place your smart device by your pillow (don’t place your device under your pillow or blankets as it may overheat), then call it a night.

■ A New Day Dawns
By the time you wake, Pokémon will have gathered in Pokémon Sleep based on your sleep type and how long you slept for. Carry out research on these Pokémon’s sleep styles to complete your Sleep Style Dex!

■ And the Rest of the Day...
Raise Snorlax big and strong! Snorlax will grow larger by receiving Berries from the Pokémon you befriend. The more you raise Snorlax, the greater your odds will be of encountering Pokémon with rare sleep styles!

Rest Your Very Best!

■ Check Your Sleep Report
What kind of sleep did you get last night? Your sleep report contains tidbits like how long you took to fall asleep, how long you spent in different sleep stages, and whether you snored or talked in your sleep.

■ Get Support to try to Sleep Your Best
You can have Pokémon at your side even when you sleep! With features like Pokémon-inspired music to relax you into sleep, plus smart alarms that wake you when you’re in a shallow stage of sleep, Pokémon Sleep may help you to rest your very best.

Very fun to play! It's done a good job at encouraging a better sleep schedule, and it feels very rewarding when it works correctly. I wouldn't suggest it for an accurate record of your sleep, though. It very frequently doesn't track your full sleep even when you tell it when you go to sleep and when you're waking. It also penalizes napping, automatic updates on your phone, and not moving enough in your sleep. The in-app purchases are also very expensive for a phone game.

Overall, the game works well. Most bugs that I've encountered have since been fixed. My main issue with it is that there are frequent lengthy unskipable animations, such as eating food and leveling up your snorlax. While they are fun to watch at first, they become annoying after seeing them hundreds of times. It would be useful to have either a skip button or an option to disable them in the settings.

The sleep tracker seems to be pretty accurate, as far as I can tell. So, bare minimum, it works! The animations are pretty cute, and I like the art style. However, there's also a lot of performance issues, even at the lowest settings. Lots of loading screens and unskippable animations that last longer than they should, and very noticeable input delay. It can be difficult to get items through gameplay alone. Crashes at least once every 5 times I open the app.
