Vanessa Hudgens confirms she gave birth to first baby: ‘Mom, dad and baby are healthy and happy’

Vanessa Hudgens has officially confirmed that she welcomed her first child with husband Cole Tucker.

“mom dad and baby are healthy and happy,” the “High School Musical” star, 35, wrote in part via her Instagram Stories on Thursday.

The update came one day after the actress was spotted leaving a California hospital in a wheelchair with her little bundle of joy cuddled in her arms.

The sex of their child and exact date of birth has yet to be revealed.

As previously reported, Hudgens announced her pregnancy by making a statement on the red carpet for the 2024 Oscars back in March.

The Hollywood starlet donned a curve-hugging gown that highlighted her pregnant belly at the time.

Hudgens’ bump debut came more than three months after she and Tucker, 28, tied the knot in Tulum, Mexico, with 100 family and friends present.

The “Spring Breakers” star kept her pregnancy relatively quiet, although she did post a bump update every now and then on social media.

She also previously expressed her frustration when fans speculated she was pregnant even before she wed the MLB player in December 2023.

“I literally just had a run-in with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful,” she said in a March episode of the “She Pivots” podcast.

“I went out on my bachelorette party in October and I posted video of me, and there are all these comments that are like, ‘Oh my god, you’re pregnant.'”

Just a few weeks before Hudgens gave birth, her ex and former co-star, Zac Efron, gushed that she would be the “best mom ever” while speaking to Access Hollywood.

The pair dated at the height of their Disney fame but broke up in 2010 after about three years together.
