New games now: Zenless Zone Zero, Antstream, Resident Evil 7, Crunchyroll’s Game Vault, The Pathless and more

Zenless Zone Zero (Hoyoverse)

The eagerly-awaited free-to-play action RPG is out now for iOS and Android, having claimed over 40m pre-registrations ahead of launch. Earlier this week, we looked at how it could end up eating into Hoyoverse’s other games’ earnings

Antstream Arcade (Antstream)

Gamers can now play over 1,300 retro titles via this subscription-cloud streaming service on iOS.

Resident Evil 7 (Capcom)

Seven and a half years after its initial release, this survival horror title has made the leap to the App Store. It’s free-to-start with a premium option to unlock the full title.

But as previously reported, similar titles like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Death Stranding – and even other entries in the Resident Evil franchise – show that there might not be a huge appetite for these triple-A console experiences on mobile.

Crunchyroll’s Game Vault line-up

PocketGamer.biz reports that the anime streaming service is bringing 15 new titles to its Game Vault. Three titles – Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Dawn of the Monsters, and Evan’s Remains – are available right now. Meanwhile, another 12 are set to launch later in the year.

These include several visual novels in sci-fi game Steins;Gate, dark cyberpunk title Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness and anime comedy romp The Quintessential Quintuplets: Memories of a Quintessential Summer.

There’s also survival horror title Corpse Party, metroidvania 9 Years of Shadows, rhythm dungeon crawler Crypt of the NecroDancer, sci-fi RPG Lunar Lux, beat-em-up RWBY: Arrowfell and 2D platformer Spidersaurs. Rounding off the line-up are three puzzle romps in Magical Drop VI, MMC Kenken – The World’s Most Exciting Math, Logic Puzzle and PictoQuest.

The Pathless (Annapurna)

This former Apple Arcade action-adventure title is now on the App Store with a £7.99 price tag.

Minesweeper (Netflix)

The iconic and long-running puzzle game has to both iOS and Android via Netflix.

Gods of Cricket (Gods And Heroes Studio)

Gaming On Phone reports that this cricket game is set to launch in late 2024 or early 2025 for iOS and Android.

Spooky Pixel Hero (AppSir)

TouchArcade reports that pre-registration for this retro-inspired title is live on both the App Store and Google Play ahead of its August 12 release date.

Over Field (NetEase)

Niko Partners reports that Chinese games giant NetEase rolled out an early access test for this new open-world RPG on June 25.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra (Aniplex)

Pre-registration is now live on Google Play for this action RPG based on the hit anime series ahead of its release later this year.
