A Handbook for Heroes

A soul is a consumable power resource that can be found within the various missions of Minecraft Dungeons.

Obtaining[]

Souls are obtained by defeating mobs when the hero is using an item with the +1 soul gathering property.

The amount of souls gained can be increased through properties and enchantments. No souls are collected if the hero defeats mobs with an artifact that uses souls, except for the Soul Lantern.

Soul related items[]

Weapons[]

These weapons all posses the +1 soul gathering property, allowing them to have soul enchantments.

Armor[]

All soul armors, excluding the evocation robe, have the +50% souls gathered property instead of the +1 soul gathering property. This means that equipping the armor will not provide the hero with the ability to collect souls, but they can still posses soul enchantments.

Artifacts[]

These artifacts require souls to be used.

Soul related enchantments[]

These enchantments can only appear on items which have either the +1 soul gathering or +50% souls gathered properties.

These enchantments can appear on all items, but still affect the usage of souls in some way.

Data values[]

  • In the game files, the soul meter is referred to internally by the name SoulbarMeter.
