Augris was Third Magistrate of the Mokra Order, wielding considerable power on a planet in the Delta Quadrant. In 2372, Augris had Starfleet officers B'Elanna Torres and Tuvok of the USS Voyager imprisoned as suspected members of the resistance movement active on the planet. Kathryn Janeway escaped and was harbored by Caylem whose wife and daughter were members of the resistance and had been arrested by Augris several years before.
Commander Chakotay contacted Augris, and explained that his crewmembers were not members of the resistance, but were seeking to buy tellerium. The Mokra Order magistrate refused to provide information on the missing crewmembers, and pretended that he was unaware of their whereabouts. Augris ordered the Voyager not to make no rescue attempt and when they did, he ordered the ship fired upon. Janeway and Caylem were able to rescue Torres and Tuvok from the prison, but ran into Augris. Augris revealed to Caylem that his wife and daughter were dead. He was fatally stabbed by Caylem. Augris was played by actor Alan Scarfe who filmed his scenes on Friday 22 September 1995 and between Tuesday 26 September 1995 and Friday 29 September 1995 on Paramount Stage 1, 8, and 16.
