Behaviour retains Best Managed Companies Program Gold Standard

Behaviour Interactive welcomes the renewal of its Gold Standard designation by the Deloitte-run Canada’s Best Managed Companies program for 2024, which recognizes the highest standards in corporate innovation, leadership and performance.

Gold Standard companies are organizations that have maintained their Best Managed Company designation for three consecutive years and passed a rigorous, independent evaluation of their business strategy, workplace culture, financial performance, and governance. Behaviour was first awarded its Gold Standard designation in 2023.

“Behaviour has grown significantly in recent years and this renewed Gold Standard recognition from Deloitte underscores the care our team has taken to ensure our growth is sustainable, strategically sound, and faithful to our core values and culture,” says Rémi Racine, CEO of Behaviour Interactive. “We owe this recognition to the care and passion our teams bring to our games and their commitment to building a workplace culture that encourages creativity, innovation and healthy work-life balance.”

Since Behaviour was first named a Best Managed Company in 2020, the Montreal-based video game studio has expanded its operations to Toronto, Seattle, the United Kingdom, and Rotterdam, and more than doubled the size of its team to just over 1,300 employees across all locations. Behaviour’s portfolio of original games includes the global phenomenon, Dead by Daylight, and the studio continues to expand its reputation as one of the world’s foremost providers of external development services, partnering with many of the gaming industry’s leaders, including Microsoft, Sony, EA, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Take-Two, among many others.

“Best Managed is a prestigious award that recognizes the significant and ongoing contributions within Canada’s business landscape,” said Derrick Dempster, Partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “Companies such as Behaviour Interactive that attain this high standard of excellence demonstrate consistent adaptability, versatility, and strategic acuity. Year after year, they thrive in a competitive, rapidly changing market and should be proud of their growth.”
