Brad Pitt's F1 Movie Gets New Poster Alongside Confirmed Summer 2025 Release

A teaser is also right around the corner.

Brad Pitt gears up to take to the track in the first poster for Joseph Kosinski's Formula 1 movie, "F1," coming to theaters in Summer 2025.

Apple confirmed the official title of its new motorsports drama on X/Twitter alongside a poster of Pitt in his racing gear, though it only offers a glimpse of his helmet. "Brad Pitt stars in F1, coming to cinemas Summer 2025," the post confirms, adding that a "sneak peek" will arrive on July 7 at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

Pitt, who stars as former F1 driver Sonny Hayes, looks to be sitting in his racing vehicle, which features an ultra-seek design with a black and gold color scheme — but not everyone is a fan of it. He looks ready to take his wheels for a spin, but only in a mentorship role for a young racer on the fictional APXGP team.

"[Sonny Hayes] has a horrible crash, kind of craps out and disappears and is racing in other disciplines," Pitt told Sky Sports standing in the paddock at Silverstone last summer. "His friend, played by Javier Bardem, is a team owner. They're a last-placed team... They've never scored a point. They have a young phenom played by Damson Idris. He brings me in as a kind of Hail Mary, and hijinks ensue."

Kosinski has teamed with writer Ehren Kruger, who worked on Top Gun: Maverick, and Jerry Bruckheimer to bring F1 to the screen. He previously revealed that he intended to use practical effects to film F1 rather than relying on CGI, following the success of his Top Gun sequel and its breathtaking in-camera flight sequences.

We'll likely see some of this high-speed driving in action when Apple and Warner Bros. release the first teaser trailer for F1 on Sunday.
