Global Chat: So many questions about Guild Wars 2’s housing

With the news that Guild Wars 2 is adding homesteads in its next expansion, Nerdy Bookahs is not alone in asking a whole ton of questions about what this system may and may not contain.

“But hopefully, we will be ably to freely place items and be creative. I guess the guild halls are a good indicator as I doubt that they’re going to release something that works fundamentally different. They already have a working system with the guild halls, so the personal housing will be similar, right?”

Inventory Full enjoyed the exploration elements of Wuthering Waves: “I certainly remember climbing as one of the main attractions in Genshin Impact, back when I played. That was good but this better. Maybe the best I’ve seen, although that also may be because it’s right in my skill zone. I suspect it will feel too easy for anyone who can do jumping puzzles in Guild Wars 2 without getting a stiff neck and sweat-stains.”

Kurn’s Corner is gobsmacked at WoW’s follower dungeons: “So yeah, I’m really interested in understanding how the NPCs are programmed. These are not the dumbasses who were in the proving grounds. These are much more sophisticated. Slow to pull (but considerate of the healer!) and the DPS is somewhat weak (but they’re normals), but still.”

The Nosy Gamer is ready for EVE Online’s new expansion: “I will spend the weekend pouring over the patch notes, but at the very least EVE: Equinox is going to shake up the sandbox. I anticipate lots of tears. I just don’t know from which corners of New Eden.”

Gamer Escape has questions about FFXIV’s fishing: “Unlike most of the other Disciple of Land or Disciple of Hand jobs, where everything is pretty interconnected and proficiency in each of those jobs directly helps you in another one of those jobs, the fishing job is relatively isolated. Outside of a couple of fish that are used in a handful of endgame meals, fishing is relatively isolated in its own world.”

Superior Realities is having a blast in New World, all things considered: “Now is an odd time to play New World. Even as a die-hard cheerleader for the game, there’s a definite storm cloud hanging over it. I think the chatter about ‘no content’ on social media is pretty out of touch with reality — I’ve got more to do in-game than there are hours in the day — but the developers also seem to be running scared, and that does have me worried.”

Tales of the Aggronaut shares the worst thing about FFXIV: “What I find most frustrating about this situation is… that Final Fantasy XIV has some rather damned good scaling tech. It would likely be trivial to scale players up to the minimum item level for a dungeon so that they can complete the story.”
