The water cooler talk about whether you all could stick the landing was fun to speculate about, and it was a topic that was easy to explain to casual fans, unlike other design challenges you all undoubtedly face. Rabiah has relatively easily identifiable problems to a layperson, and i gather people are optimistic that something cool could come from those constraints after your latest success. (Kudos btw, love NEO)
So just as there are people who want that specific aesthetic, there are those who want to see design rise to a challenge that is easy for us to understand.
Doing something specifically because it would be hard to do is a terrible reason to do a design. The goal has to be making something the audience...
