🌈Milliman employees, friends and family are gearing up to march in this year’s Chicago Pride Parade with Out in Tech, the world’s largest network of LGBTQ+ tech professionals. 🐉Milliman’s parade group will include a spectacular 18 foot papier-mâché dragon in honor of transgender teenager, Rowan Shimer, who died in a horseback riding accident the summer before starting high school. Rowan’s parents, close friends, and family created the dragon inspired by Rowan’s life, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and art—which included self-portraits to help explore his identity. ❤️The dragon serves as a tribute to Rowan, transgender youth, and their families and symbolizes a guarding force protecting LGBTQ+ youth in their courageous journey of coming out and living their truth.
